yah
i saved it but it doesn't do anything for me
just posts the credits and 2 lil boxes but there is no workable spreadsheet.....hmmmm
I wanna see it *cries*
wait i am a noob got it figured it out......have never really used excel so
I have to say this is a great tool for Chef's. It has been dead on in helping me calculate my Brandy results.
I had one question and maybe you can help me out with it. I was using the calculator to see what the stats would be on Bespin Port and when I put in all my numbers, I get a Nutrition Value of 19.393. I was led to believe that +12% or +13% was considered good and that +19 was not even possible.
The resources I was using were not even great so maybe you could check it out and either tell me if the calculations were wrong, or if I am just not reading the program output fields properly.
Here are the stats on the resources:
OQ PE DR FL
Fruit 269 473 828 172
Tubers 927 54 845 299
Berries 803 515 609 464
I used a +114 heavy Additive and Experimented 7 Points in Nutrition and 4 points in Filling all Great Successes.
Can someone help me interpret the results of the spreadsheet?
Thanks

Well, there's a couple things it could be.
First, while the draft schematic for Bespin Port says Nutrition is based on 50% DR and 50% OQ, actual testing shows it uses the same 66% PE and 33% OQ as most other foods. I'm not really sure which should be used in the "Food Data" table. On the one hand, leaving the numbers as-is can lead to some incorrect results. On the other, putting in the "correct" values can look like a bug in the spreadsheet or lead to problems if the schematic percentages ever get corrected.
Second, the min/max values for the foods were determined solely by in-game testing and extrapolation from the experimental percentages. I unfortunately couldn't get the devs to provide me with full details from inside the code.
This means that there's definitely a margin of error, and the margin is larger for items I haven't tested as much.
Actually, looking at the numbers I do have, I wonder if I calculated the min/max for Port while I was using an additive. That would make a bit more sense (as I have min=3 and max=12) from what I remember from other posts.
If you want to poke around, try making a port without an additive, get a couple of data points about buff size vs. Nutrition experimentation, plug them into the Min/Max calculator on the "more tools" tab and see what you get. I'll be doing the same, but won't be able to get to it until maybe tonight, more likely tomorrow.
