Guys, we have it good. Look at Droid Engineers and the components they have to deal with. You know, a lot of people make fun of the combat professions all thinking they should each be uber. This is the same thing, but with a crafting profession. We can't have all the perks, and little to no cost. If you don't want components, then make tall glasses or small glasses. Reserve barrels and casks for special orders. I find it an interesting addition.

Jerecki, the idea here is not being "uber." A lot of it is that the buffs we have seen so far show SOME promise, with the proviso that quantity and filling be adjusted. Barrels are in the game purely to help with the quantity side of that, and filling may be adjusted by way of stomach refresh time, or as I like to call it: "Dumping."
And DE's do not work as much in crates for high level items as we do. BH droids and possibly with the combat modules, yes, but not in the sheer volume that we do and are forced to to remain competitive and accessible to people with limited storage space.

It simple though, you will have to charge more for barrels and casks. If you're bought out fast, raise prices till your sales slow and are at a good pace. It's the way the economy works. You'll end up making MORE money AND have enough time to restock, if things slow, you just lower your prices, or craft coupons to hand out in Theed and they drop them off at your vendor for a set price which you will tip them off the cost of their purchase.

That was areally nice, productive post, thank you, Jerecki. We're not asking for the world here, we're just asking for a little island where we can have houses instead of just factories and milk grows on trees.
Oh, and lots of men in nothing but chef hats.

Vimes, also check about certifications for chef hats at least.

LeilaniKirlia,
Thank you for your input. However, A) I will not call it dumping and B) I am not requesting an island of naked men! So there!

I will ask but I kinda doubt this one would happen. The tailors would not like this (they have to be able to sell them too ya know)

For me to run a 500 ct schematic of drinks with barrels there better be some good advantage why I should go to a tailor and have then use 10+ hours of factory time to make my 1000 trim. Then either pick them up myself or go pick up 20+ crates of trim. I'm all for variety but if it takes 3-4 times the amount of time to get twice the amount of charges, it doesn't take a genious to figure out which will happen.
I am all for having more professions involved. But that involvement should be worth something to the game. A player should be better off if 2 professions have to come together to make something. There needs to be a real bonus for me to go to a tailor or any other profession.
