(Similar to SoW from EQ)
**** Skill increasing food/drink, especially boosts to other artisan based assembly/experimentation (weaponcrafting/armor/etc)
**** Specific Pet food/drink, like baby formulas that increase pet growth over natural growth, etc etc.
Justtwo things that I can think of:
Have the chef's buffs to be equal or better than the docs and smugglers buffs.
Fix the food bug.
Give certain recipes an additional optional resource slot. Then have mobs randomly drop special parts that we can use in this optional resource slot. Like a cu pa leg, worrt tongue, or peko peko egg. Make these pretty rare and when used in a recipe make the results amazing! These can't be mass-produced so the results should be something special when a chef uses them.
Anyone notice the fruit stands, various bars, and meat markets around town? Give chefs a reason to be around those places. Like 2 extra experimentation points if we make food near any of those places.
Something I'd like that isn't really chef-specific: A portable vendor. When someone asks you what you can make, plop here's the vendor take a look
Some fun combat ability. Nothing too powerful, but being able to throw a cake at someone, or splatter someone with hot oil.

A droid waiter/waitress that you can fill with food and drink and set on patrol. When somebody clicks/converses with it, it presents them with a menu.

I want people to get fat from eatting too much food.
Say every 100 units of food or drink consumed you gain 1 point of bodyfat.
Food buffs and drinks need to last longer.
Doctors buffs last for 3 hours, why doesnt food? i don't diegest that quickly, nither should my character :S
Assuming all the other issues with chefs are addressed like the food stack bug and the desirability of foods issue, here are my ideas for making the chef profession richer. most of these ideas have already been thrown around but im reiterating them because i like them.
I.Food visuals:
A.Food Decorations: food should be able to be placed on furniture without requiring a 2 story house. more decorations relating to food should be given to architects, possibly involving food as an a component. ex: a plaque with a prize fish would require a fishprocessed by chefs.
B.Catina Drinks: catina drinks should offer visuals when you drink it, much like how fireworks work. these pretty lightscan be like the dancers who make dancing lightsor as simple as the visuals given to combat medics when they area heal. other drinks could offer the ability for fast dancers to dance quicker for a short period of time or allow nonentertainers to do a little emote dance that doesnt heal mind. itd be kinda cool if the stronger drinks added a automatic drunk mood for 1 minute.
C.Chef clothing:Tailors should be able to make chef clothing that can add + food assembly or experimentation. these buffs should not be too great but add random stats to the cooking skills. tailors should be able to make these without skill tapes.
II.Food buffs:
A.Special affects: Food buffs should add special affects much like how power ups work in that randomized abilities given for each type of food item. these buffs should ranged between +1-10 based on the quality of the ingredients used and would ensure many chefs experimenting a lot more as well as a greater demand for food. i like the idea of an energy drink line in which a persons fatigue can be reduced so they could burst run again for long treks of land while running to krayts for example. A fatigue bar would help in showing how much a good drink improves fatigue reduction or at least a timer like when a medic sees "you cannot heal for another 10 seconds." It would be nice to make molativ cocktails that do noticable fire damage like from a BH or Commandobut are weaker than regular grenades. Either that or buff fire damage by 50%.
B.Food and Drinks should slow down battle fatigue. Food should not eliminatebattle fatiguebut having food in you should reduce theaccumulation of battle fatigue. alternatively, not having food should make you more suspeptible to getting battle fatigue. in this way, food is very helpful for long journeyswithout being absolutely necessary, killing peoplefor not eating it. all food should be able to slow battle fatigue by the same amount so even poor people can be ok with abofa treat every 30 minutes.
C.Food/Drink Fill Bars: The food and drink bars are borked and dont always reflect accurately whast going on. these bars should show how long a buff would last or how long til bars go back down. Anarchy Online had a good model for buffs showing how long they lasted i cant imagine why this game has such a crummy one. the filling attribute should also be included in all foods and drinks
D.Crafting Foods: I like how alcohols can be interchanged for many foods and offer the chefs the ability to judge whether the cost of making an item is worth the trouble of using either aludian pu or ordinary alcohol. Solid foods sould have more of this interchangability with their components where dough can replace schematic slots for pastebread or soypro with puk. The more combinations offered to foods and more customizability options of making unique foods that are heavily experimented(not jus by use of all experimenting points but time going into customizing) to yield combinations judged by chefs to have the best positive effectsweighed with negativefactors like the cost of manufacturingwould greatly enrich the chef profession.
III.Food distribution:
A. complete meals: Complete meals should be like the fireworks package talked aboutby otherswith the exception of being able to make schematics of this meal. a complete meal should have all the buffs start and end at the same time while a nicely designed one would fill up all the available food and drink fill bars for completeness. on a side note, dropping this meal should offer the visual of at least 1 entree+1 drink.
B.Robo bartenders should be made by DEs. These bartenders should have a larger storage compartment than usual that stores food. the chef must be in the vicinity for these bartendersto work. the higher model ones should have the ability to speak every once in a while to help advertise. trading in this game is very cumbersome and a walking vender would make it a lot easier. possibly allowing these models to use crafting stations in catinas would allow chefs to craft behind the bar too. the exception for the robo bartender comparing it to regular venders is that in order to buy a drinka customermust have an empty slot in his inventory. That way, there should be no necessity for retrieving items since food bought would automtically be added to their inventory, bypassing the possiblity of a chef storing hisbotwhile people still have food they bought on it.
C./Feed ability:i like the idea of a /feed command for your teammates. this ability should be like the CM area stims or ranged stims only it only works for people on your team. recipes should be altered for area food to be smaller buffs than individual food but cheaper to manufacture. If the /feed command doesnt go through then an aura for buffs created while certain foods are used would also be ok. this command could also give a small amount of UXP, smaller than medic healing ability but itll be more fun than grinding.
The food stack bug needs to be fixed. It's killed my business.
Food buffs need rebalancing (the whole schematic system needs rebalancing.)
Chef apparel: aprons & hats
Food eating and drinking emotes and a drunken state - people are more inclined to RP and buy food for RP purposes if it does something observable. Besides it's fun!
Character weight can would be neat and give image designers a bigger role in gameplay.
I liked the buffet Idea someone gave, or a hotdog stand like cart for food. (Put food "in" the table or cart like a container, and people and see it on top. The can examine the food on top, and buy it from radial menu.)
Chef clothes, pretty please.
Better decorative options.
And yes, animations please.
I know this was mostly restates, but it is my list as well.![]()
the customer service in this game sux. i wish they would at least acknowledge complaints. every time i sent a ticket it comes back unread. i feel like im talking to a brick wall making complaints and most forums scroll so quickly i doubt anyone sees my posts.
has this wishlist been formulated into a coherent message or are we giving up on the idea that the developers will implement anything we suggest for enhacing this profession? is there anyone at all on the development team who actually likes us? i get the impression that the person "in charge of chefs" thinks a balance pass on food will fix all our woes(not sure if this is true myself).
