Yep, you gotta be a Chef to make Blue Milk. You can make it once you get Mixology 1, and it requires 10 units of milk from an animal, 5 units of meat, and a container.

Any special kind of meat ? and does the Mind Healing Boost from Blue Milk depend on what critter or meat you use ?

We can use any kind of meat, but the buff depends on the quality of the meat.

SOrry if this is unwarranted, but I got the feeling that just maybe you were thinking it did something it doesn't do. It is an instand heal...a mind stim. Its not a buff to regeneration or anything. And so far it has been seriously unappreicated. I've had 4 crates anf a dozen singles on my vendor for 4 days or so and no bites. I sold a single stack and thats it. One day someone will stumble over this and go "Wow!"

That's why I handed some of Blue Milk, Synthsteak and Crispic to everyone in the 20 person group during our PvP raid Friday night. Once they were using it, they were hooked.

It's real primitive marketing, but very effective.

My Blue Milk (419 heal) is moving fairly well especially with docs. Yesterday for instance a master doc bought 3 crates of Blue Milk at 80k each (of course he also bought a couple of Vasarian Brandies, Vagnerian Canaps and even a Synthsteak).

Are you joking? This is the BEST kind of advertising. It's how crack dealers operate. "This one's free kid, but it's gonna cost ya after this"

I found Blue Milk to be very relatively useless personally. With the stomach filling timers the way they are, it gives you a huge amount of downtime if you 'need' something like Brandy to enable you to fight as you need to.

I made myself some Blue Milk with approximately 400 heal and 30ish filling & went out fighting on my TKM/Doc.I was already something like 25 minutes into my Double-Brandy buff when I needed a heal, so I drank a Blue Milk. This effectively reset my stomach values to a level where I couldn't drink another Brandy until way after the first 2 had run out. (Edit: My Brandy are 42 mins duration btw, so I should theoretically only have 3 minutes of downtime).

Eventually I got bored waiting for my stomach values to allow me to drink another Brandy so I gave up and went home. It was late, so I didn't take notice of exact timings. I will be doing some experiments with my Brandy over the next couple of days though. I'm sure they haven't been digested fully, even after 45 minutes (that's a discussion for a different thread).

But you don't use Blue Milk to "fake" a mind buff...you use it to prevent yourself from falling over incapped when you've got 50 points or so left and that nasty Imp is targeting you with his rifle.

He does have a good point about the filling of the blue milk, but man... what a great emergency life saver.

I think Blue MIlk is best for emergency situation (if your stomach isn't full hehe). I wish the filling on it was lower though.

I used to get mind buffed and take fishak for my drink (as rifleman). I always kept muon for "emergencies" ... ie when my mind pool got very low as an effective "mind stim."

Now the plan is for 2 brandy's and a stack of blue milk on my main toolbar in place of muon for "emergencies."

Its a pretty simple concept ... everyone should figure it out soon (I would hope lol.)

(note I still keep my muon just because i'm used to it, I hope smugglers pie works someday .. that could lead to some interesting combos)

The main thing I'm trying to figure out is a food combo with veghash, or soypro depending on what I'm out doing.

As a combantant, I like to use Muon for my mind buff and then use blue milk for the emergency heals. Call me crazy, but I like this setup better than Brandy.

Now only if Smugglers Delight were working...
