Getting past the grind to get up to the nicer stuff (if not Master Chef) is the killer - most people will want to grind out 150K Wastril Breads to level, and then (or so I think) there will be time to break out the crafting station and experiment with making schematics.

One of my guildmates was kind enough to supply the Stormy Haven Cantina (near the extreme northwest of Naboo on Chilastra server, I'll post exact coords later) with a personal crafting station can use to customize my beverages. At some point I'll use/build a factory to make multiple lots of the most high quality products...

But until I can collect enough resources.... my online avatar is going to be macro farming wheat and water for those #$@!! wastril breads....

Yea, besides, I dont think they had the best materials 5 months ago.
