I was having the same problem at first. I had sooo many critical failures that I actually almost thought about giving up my crafter for a bit 
It was really fustrating, I burned through a full crate of additives on just failures that I had to log out and take a break for a week before I tried again. Today tho when I was working on my vendor stock I think the most it took me to get a schem I was satisfied with was probably 12 at the very most. The thing that kept my spirits up was the first schem of BoH I made was an amazing success *thanks goodness* or I probably would have been depressed lol.
Im still not sure what exactly caused me to have so many failures tho, but Im happy that it didnt continue onto the fresh new week lol

I did a little bit of testing but it really didn't seem to help much!
I did nottest it well, I am working on grinding up the FS Crafting Line because thats supposed to help get more Amazings so I'm hopping it will boost me back up to where I'm used to be before this crappy buff
First crafting session since the buff inplimentation was last night...
247 experimentation attempts 2 hours 45 minutes for 5 Pikatta Pie schematics.
Before the buff 50 attempts would be considered high.
Looks like I will be crafting out what resources I have left and tossing them on the vendor and having a going out of business sale. I don't have the 8 hours a day that will be needed to keep the vendors stocked.
