I think most people agree that Iron Chef is the best. As for a new one, I would like to see Candy Man for the Dessert tree.

I like all of the assigned titles, and choose to wear the Master Chef one at all times.

The one I would like to see most... hmmmm...

"Milk Man"

"Working Profession"

"Best Buffer"

"Mind Healer"

"Maitre' D"

Iron Chef used to be my favorite, but now I'm gonna have to say Expert Bartender.

Titles to add: Rum Runneror Master of Distilled Spirits.

I run around with the Master Cheft title but I really like Culinary Master. Having actually attended Culinary Arts for a few years I would like to have seen some better titles for our profession.

Chef: The term literally means "the chief" in French. Every kitchen has a chef or executive chef who is responsible for the operations of the entire kitchen. (A commonly misused term in English, not every cook is a chef.)

Sous-Chef: This position means "the under chief" in French. This is person is second in command and takes responsibility for the kitchen operations if the chef is absent.

Poissonier: The fish cook--all fish and shellfish items and their sauces.

Rotisseur: The person responsible for roasted items.

Saucier: The person responsible for sautéed items and many different sauces. Traditionally, it is the third person in command, just under the sous-chef.

Grillardin: The grill cook.

Potager: The soup and often stock cook.

Entremetier: The vegetable cook.

Friturier: The deep fry cook.

Garde-Manger: The person who prepares cold savory items Boucher.

The Butcher Commis: The common cook under one of the Chef de Partie. This level of cook comprises the bulk of the kitchen staff.

Tournant: A cook who rotates throughout the entire kitchen where needed (i.e. to replace a sick employee).

Patissier: The pastry chef/cook, often under the direction of the chef.

Confiseur: The candy cook.

Boulanger: The bread cook.

Sommlier: a wine steward in a restaurant, hotel, or other establishment, who supervises the ordering, storing, and serving of wine.

I love Iron Chef and Culinary Master equally... I gotta admit though its not really "chef" I always loved going into battle with "Homemaker" above my head

If I could add a title I would say:

Skillet Mistress/Master

Grill King/Queen

My favorite current title is "Expert Bartender".

New title....hmm....would "Kiss the Cook" count as a title? The only other one that came to mind was "short order cook", but Vishna already did that one.
