AFAIK - The max is capped. An amazing success will not help you go past that. It will just give you more % out of the experiment but will stop at the cap. If the cap is 85% (for example) and you are currently at 84%, and an Amazing Success gives you 5% (for example), you will not get 89%, you will get 85%.

I could be wrong but thats how I see it. Your resources determine the starting point and ending point for each line. The success rates just determine how fast you reach the max...

True, but Numen was talking about the day Pub7 went live that contained the new crafting system. In that system, an amazing success let you "push" the cap up a bit. It seemed to be 1% for each point spent, so if the cap was 85%, you were at 84%, you experimented one pointand got an amazing success you would end up at 86%.

No way you get 480ish brandy

I use 973 PE 960 OQ Berries, Fruit that is 970 PE 962 OQ, and the same exact BSN's (+89) and I can get in the 450's. I don't care if you have 1000 PE and OQ Fruit and Berries, you will NOT get anywhere near 480 with those BSN's.
