Thread: should chef clothes be restricted?
now i could say on flurry not too many non chef classes wearing the clothes. but then to an examine i appear to not be a chef at all since i am 2443. and i only have tkm m marksman, and m medic. now before anybody gets teh idea that i am a holo chef let me say that i was holo grinding till i hit architect. to me it wasnt worth it anymore and it was seperating guild mates so in hopes to show them that i was ready to help balance the eco i dropped the grind and sold all my holos. yes i am a new chef and it wasnt the revamp that made me decide the trade it was before that and it was because i wanted something that there was hardly anybody in and i wanted a trade profession. money aint no biggie with me.
so in short i really hope that you old school chefs out there dont cast me out of the loop for being a bit new. and in a week or so i am sure non chef folk in kitchen master hats will stop wearing them
endora
almost master chef
tera kasi master
points for all i would hope that tailors make enough off BE clotheing to all sorts of people i got a good friend that BANKS off all of it so much shes going BE to supply herself to cut costs. i think that it would be a nice reward to a master doctor to ahve a special wardrobe that could take even more than normal enhancements VS the normal and u have to hold the title to use the item .. (hint to dev) and have more epic quests then the AS quest (RIS armor) it wouldnt be the easist thing but u would get a thing most people wouldnt have .. how about cooking for jabba? or vader? leia? naaa thats sounds like too much fun .. i am sorry y'all i am using creativeity .. someone pls give me the website to WOW ... lol j/k

And one more thing...give it a week and people will get tired of it.
Exactly. There is nothing stopping someone in RL from wearing a Chef hat in public. Why don't they? Because it looks stupid. Right now it is a novelty.
I don't care if every person on the server would wear a chef hat. If someone wants to use it as a style, let them. One of the few things in this game that you can make personal is the way your character looks. Limiting clothing to certain classes is the same exact thing to me as if they would limit what a certain class can wear. Like if a chef HAD to wear the chef clothing and could never wear a gunman's duster.
I don't really mind seeing others running around in the chef clothing (non-chef wookiees for instance, looks really good on them for some reason!). The apron also has other applications as well, (weapon/armorsmith trainers wear the aprons) and I don't see any justification inrestricting them.
I'm going to guess that alot of the people wearing these hats are going to be inundated with tells asking them if they can make them a crate of vasarian brandy. After about 50 tells, I'm sure the hat will be taken off, unless they are ultra resilient! ![]()
It's like restricting camo-pants to rangers, doctors dresses to doctors or to limit the use of swoop-helmets to those that has a swoop-bike in their data pad.
Sorry, but this idea sure don't get a vote from me.
And luckily the devs realized this when they implemented it.
Wookiees' just want more wearables. I admit, I'm running around in a Chef hat despite not being a chef.
Right now my choices are either a Hood, a Chef hat, or nothing.
