Thread: An overlooked food?

I've had a few requests for it and have went ahead and made a few crates myself.

With a decent BSN, I got a 102 HAM reduction and a 72 Recorvery Downtime (RD). IMO, the bonus to the HAMmay not nearly be as important as the RD. A) Many people will be buffed while using this and the cost to their HAM will be minimal at best. B) Using a Multisaccharide Tetramate Medium Tissue to increase the Flavor (which effects the RD) is the way to go. This is my next step and i'll post my results here when I get my bug hands on some of that tissue

The idea for a Bounty Hunter, or pvp'r, is to pop a Parwan to try all his might to keep chasing a jedi/pvp'r. And if the RD high strong enough, he will want ot be able to pop another as quickly as possible.

Using the current results I got with a 72 RD, the results are not that big of a bonus. But the HAM sure is when notbuffed

Ikoo, what is the recovery time on your Parwan with a Recovery Bonus of 72? The stuff I've been taking is around 61, which lets me burst run again 2 minutes after my burst is up. So that's a new burstrun every 3 minutes.

FP,

I times the RD time and it came to 1:53 seconds. And i made a goof, its a 71 RD not 72. But I believe that extra 1 point may give ya a mere 1.73 seconds ;-p Not until we hit 100+ will we see a noticable difference. I am about to learn

The recovery bonus is a straight percentage reduction.

Normal recovery is 10 minutes.

Every percent bonus reduces the recovery by six seconds (10 minutes = 600 seconds, 600/100 = 6).

90% or greater recovery bonus will yield no downtime between burstruns. The recovery isreduced to one minute, which is also how long the burstrun lasts. Every percent below 90 is six seconds of downtime.

I made a flavor additive for this and got the recovery to 101%. As soon as I ate it, I got the message you are no longer tired. You can eat another one and get a burst run while burst running, however it yeilds no increase in speed.

You do get to run and run and run and run till you get cramps from a full stomach. Reminded me of Leto in Children of Dune.

Hmm, so it looks like the best bet might be to get it to 90 (which should make the recovery time equal to the burst run time), then try to get the filling to 25. Five minutes of continuous burst run (counting a normal one at the end).... has possibilites.

You are a geek. I like that. Now if I can just get these live worm samples to bond with my skin for a suit of natural armor... Maybe I need more spice in my system, op a Muon...

Yeah it is a geek comment, but I figured anyone that would be reading the SWG forumswould know what I mean.

btw it looks like 6 uses come up around 38% and you could probably use a light to get you to 90%.

Never thought of this food as being that useful. Though it only decresed HAM cost. Now I will have to dabble...

Got mine to 99 Reduction and 27 Filling. No downtime between BurstRuns.

Trying right now to get the filling down to 25, then sponsor a race to promote it, giving each entry a 5 serving of the food.

Great for Jedi and Melee PVP's that get Kited. I'm excited!

Multisaccharide Tetramate is the medium flavor tissue (the highest a Parwan can take), the small one is Multisaccharide Dimate. I was able to track down a BE on my server who is doing a small run of ones with a bonus of 40 or so, which should make a 90 Burst run recovery do-able (although I'm having some concerns about the flavor quality of the rice and wheat I've got, I've mostly been picking up mid-quality cereal just for alcohol).

I'll probably post my results once I pick them up.

Well, picked up some pretty good multisaccharides (+47 flavor), and here's what I ended up with:

Filling: 25

HAM decrease: 53

Recovery bonus: 93

Quantity: 5

With the resources I had (not fabulous flavor, but nothing better spawning) and 10 experimentation points, it took a couple amazing successes to get the 90+ recovery bonus with the 25 filling, but I think it'll work out pretty good.

The one thing I'm worried about now is that the testing I did before may not apply to everyone. I was seeing 1 minute of burst run with 9 minutes of being "tired", and the parwan I was using seemed to be calculating the recovery bonus using the 10m total duration. So I figured a 90 recovery would put the "no longer tired" at just about the time the burst run wore off.

Today I noticed that I have 20 burst run efficiency (from Exploration 2), does anyone know whether that affects the tired duration? Or is it just a decrease in HAM cost? Anyone without any scout skills tried this, and what did you see?
