Dussel,

The buff totals on those initial listsare in the process of beingenhanced. (thank the Great Fish)To my knowledge we've only seen new buffs for BoH and Vas Brandy, but they both looked good. It also looks like BE enhanced additives are going to giveSUBSTANTIAL boosts - which is, to my mind, a GREAT development.

= you may forget Fishak easy enough.

Ravins, the chef revamp is on test center right now, no word on when it's going live.

Yes, they removed Fishak and Glucose. From the food effects people have posted from test, it looks like chefs are being moved away from stat buffs (leaving those mainly for doctors, entertainers) and going towards skills and combat modifiers. But that doesn't mean our stat buffs are bad. It looks like they are about on about equal footing with smuggler spices as far as variety, with larger durations, the ability to stack, and no downer. The individual buffs are going to be smaller than spices, but with the ability to stack food/drink, I think we're actually better off. We do still have the filling limitation, but that's been simplified and more information is displayed; instead of having to guess the filling by estimating from your fill bar, it's a displayed property in the food's details.

It looks like we've got three main stat buff groups, with a couple others scattered around.

First are the Artisan foods. These buff a single stat (although one for Focus is missing) around +40 for 30-60 minutes and a filing of 6-12 (thats the percentage of your food or drink stomach that gets filled). So you could conceivably eat 10 foods to buff a single stat in the Health and action groups plus 10 drinks for Mind or willpower, and be buffed in two stats for 4-500 for around 45m.

Second are the vertical drinks (at least that's what I call them). These are three drinks in Mixology III that buff all three stats of a single category: Garrmorl for Health/Str/Con, Accaragm for Action/Quick/Stam, and Vassarian Brandy for Mind/Focus/Willpower. The buff ranges are +100-200, 30-60m, and a filling of 23-ish. So if you're worried about Mind, you can drink 4 Vassarian Brandies for a minimum +400 to all three mind stats (a total of +600 will probably be more common) for 45m.

Third are the three "dessert super-buffs". These give a short-duration buff (and by that I mean durations similar to old foods) to only the secondary stats (Str/Con, Quick/Stam, Focus/WIll). The buff and durationranges are+375-625 and 6-10m. Since these are foods, they combine nicely with the drinks listed above. The filling I saw for Won-won (Str/Con) was 39, but that's only with Cooking I and some mediocre-to-poor resources, it may be possible to get that below 33, allowing you to eat three of them.

Then there's a few stat buffs for pets only, focusing exclusively on the primary pools so I'm not sure how useful those will be. And Breath of Heaven remains with it's buffs to all three usage stats (str, quick, focus).

The only thing I see missing for a versatile stat buff menu is a food/drink for all three pool stats (Health, Action, Mind) and one for all three regen stats (Con, Stam, Will).

So we went from about 100 recipes with pretty random stat buffs (only 5-10 really got used) to 15 laid out in groups that make sense and can be combined to meet the needs of just about any player. And if the base foods aren't quite good enough, every recipe can accept a BE tissue to increase the size, duration, quantity or to reduce the filling.

Plus we get another 60 or so foods for skill bonuses and special effects (damage reduction may be especially popular).
