Thread: What Are All the Master Chef's MAKING and SELLING.
I have to agree with the origional poster on this one. I came to this thread in hopes to get a range of prices that people were selling their goods at, yet all I am seeing is a bunch of people talking about sunburns again (as with about 65% of the threads on this forum). I would also appriciate it if people could just post their prices and keep the sunburn chatter to a minimum (post your price/charge and move on). As for the posts about smugglers/doctors, I think they were jokes made because you asked people not to, that is how forums work.
Any chance on redeeming this thread or has it degrated to another sunburn debate?

I'm not quite Master yet, but for me, what I usually do is charge a base price for each stack depending on my cost to make, then I add a peruse fee.
So for my sunburns, usually it costs me 500cr to make one (this of course can vary) and then I add 350cr peruse after that. I don't seem to have any trouble selling out of everything I put on my vendor.
In fact, Kanze, I'm on Eclipse and I get more demands every day than I can fill. It's frustrating because, everyone wants crates (even after I explain theproblems with them)- and that lowers my profit margins. I also keep getting catering requests. So, I know that if I had more time to play, I could easily pull in 200-300k on average.
Heh methinks Rebel wouldn't like my prices then... I'm pretty darn low by comparison, but I'm also trying to boost business, since I just moved to a new area.
Hopefully when Factories are patched up I can sell crates of this stuff or at least make enough to stock quickly in the evenings.
I make "Pet Packs(TM)" with pet treats in crates and they sell like hotcakes in my new area (Bestine). I can't keep THOSE in stock heh. I sell them for 1500cr.
dont' you need medic skill to use Stim's??? if so, that my friend isn't a viable alternative for a great many people...
I have to agree with Quel. I had to raise prices to the point I am feeling really guilty about them to even keep up with what was selling... and the food and drink is still selling like hotcakes.
If you price low.. all you will be doing is clicky clicky clicky to make food.. and you get the stupid tells like
"I'd like to place an order for 5000 sunburns" *_- I think not
I would be careful raising your prices too high...I say this from a non-chef and a buyer.
I had recently started buying and using alot of Breath on Heaven to help with the HAM costs of carbines. I was paying about 400 credits each.
Then did some match I realized I can buy StimB for 500 with over 25 charges.
Essentially, there is little financial insentive to use food since Stims are cheaper.
That being said, I think food buffs are WAY TOO SHORT. 400 seconds for a buff is too little IMO.
Just some feedback from a person that actually uses food...
I've been trying to sell Tatooine Sunburns for 900 creds for a stack of 6 and I can't move them at all. I have my own shop setup and planetary advertising but it's not helping. So I checked around on my planet and found that there are 9 other chefs selling sunburns, and all are selling at roughly 100 creds per use. I'm the most expensive that I have seen at 150 creds/use. So it totally depends on server as well as planet.
Corellian Fried Icecream (125 creds / use)sells like mad however. The only other items which sell are Ryshcate (100 creds / use)and Meatlump (40 creds / use). I can't seem to move anything else.
