Ok...here's the skinny
Experimentation
At master chef, all races get +100 to chef experimentation. There is no race bonus for chef. You recieveone point to experiment with each +10 you have. Master chefs are 10 Point Chefs.By adding +20 in attachments forfood experimentation, you can acheive an extra 2 points of experimentation. Hence you are now a 12 point chef. The extra +5 that can be added since +25 is the cap, gives you a better chance of getting amazing successes during the experimentation process. I get many more amazings since adding the +5 and if you can afford the +20 then go for the extra +5.
Assembly
Additional Food Assemblyonly make it easier to get a sucessful assembly of the item and less failures.Obtaining an amazing assembly adds nothing to the crafting of the product because stats will be the same if you were to get a good success. I think it was intended to affect the product but fell by the way-side. Adding +25 to Food Assembly really adds no bonus. Some people believe that if you get an amazing success during the assembly that you have a better chance to get amazing successes during the experimentation process but this has not been confirmed either way, I have seen no justification in the +25 to assembly but I picked it up just in case there is some validity to the theory and hey....it looks good in my signature.
Q-0.7: How much is a +x Structure Assembly tape worth? What does it do?
A-0.7: The value of structure assembly tapes will vary a lot from server to server. These tapes do have value but it will depend primarily on the supply and demand situation for your server. The structure assembly skill increases the chance of better success results during experimentation. This will mean a higher rate of success getting maximum BER on harvesters. I've verified this myself (Pawlin). It will not increase the BER above the maximums.

A-0.8: The value of structure experimentation tapes will vary a lot from server to server. These tapes do have value but it will depend primarily on the supply and demand situation for your server. Generally speaking the value of structure experimentation tapes is a lot less than some other crafting experimentation tapes like Weaponsmith, Chef, etc. The structure experimentation skill increases the amount of experimentation points you have to use during experimentation. You get 1 more experimentation point for every 10 additional skill points. So +10 in tapes will give you 1 point and +20 will give you 2 points. Going over 20 will not increase your experimentation over the 2 points. The effect of additional experimentation points is to get larger hopper sizes on harvesters or recover from less than great initial experimentation. It will not increase the BER above the maximums.
This is the answer from architect board. And the theory Iv'e worked from. I would assume all tapes are the same. I was curious on all this cause I'm thinking of doing chef maybe.

Its really a small concern, you're far better off concentrating on experimentation tapes first, then if you have the cash get the assembly.
