...as Chefs, you are lucky to have one of the best correspondents of ANY profession...

He does seem to be one of the most activeand most involved (corr's) on the forums that I've been reading, so far. Glad toknow -someone- out there cares aboutus players (and nolonger surprised by it being another player).

Myrathi, your player-name isnt in your sig, but I can see that you are on Starsider. So am I. Drop me an email ingame when you get a chance, my name ingame is Vomit.

My player- and forum-nameare one and the same! I'll definitely drop you a line, though. I hadn't addedspecific names/servers to my sig, though, because although I tend to vary between a couple of servers when things get slow (which is more often, lately, given the FS non{-grind|sense} "), Starsider is my main server by a long way. Got the most friends etc there (that haven't left yet), so... :j

Seen you in-game on many an occasion, though; chatting to folk at starports et al. But eh... spamaramaville keeps me on the move, more often than not, so I've never waited around to say hi. *shifty*I'll have to rectify that oversight, yesyes.

I have a ton of extra +15 tools, +40 or better crafting stations, resources, harvesters, food factories, etc that I would let go for almost nothing to a new Chef.

Woo. Will have to have a chat about that, I think.

Feel free to pop across to Sarlacc City, at some point, too. Always welcome.

Just a note to agree with all the other chefs that have made the sucess as 10pt chef posts.

OK, so I don't make the best, not even near the best probably - but keep well stocked vendors in the right places, follow game trends if possible and you will certainly make a fair whack of cash each week.

I only do it on a very small scale and even I manage to make a nice little profit.

Oh yeah, remember to be cool to everyone you meet - even the numptys - they buy food too.

That said, I'm always on the hunt for tapes, just so I can see what it's like cooking with them , but you have to finance these giant (at least on the Kette server) purchases with something - 20mill+ for 20 points /weep

Oh yeah, and all hail our Boss Chef forum chief - he knows things that are of use, and actually tells us them- which seems to be unheard of in other professions.

What they said. Get kick butt resources, keep your vendor stocked, carry a variety of foods, and price your goods fairly, and you will have a successful business no matter how many experiment points you have. I'm on Starsider as well and built a hugely successful shop on 10 points, then 11. It's totally possible to do. It's a good thing too, because SEA prices here are completely out of control. (I hear people complain about full +20 suits going for 15-20 million in their galaxy. On Starsider, a single +6 food exp clothing tape auctioned for 24 MILLION credits recently. No, that's not a typo.)

After over a year as a master chef, I just became a 12 pointer last week. Out of the 35 or so things on my menu, I see no usefuldifference at allin many of my foods, a moderate difference in others, and dramatic differences in a couple of them (brandy and 50 fill Vercupti). I'd suggest for now, working on putting together an 11 point outfit, which is not too expensive to do in comparison to the 12. Get a chef's apron (I think they're going for around 350k now) for 5 points, then try to get five +1 tapes (I don't think you'll pay more than 300k each). That will provide a nice boost to your food without paying the ridiculous prices you'll have to shell out for the larger tapes. Personally, I don't think the difference between +11 and +12 food is enough to justify it.
