There are a few ways to get cut and paste to work.

Ctrl-O to go to options, select keymapping.. look for cut and paste commands.. I mapped them to ctrl-alt-c and ctrl-alt-v .. that was as cloas as I could get to the normal windows layout

there is supposedly also a way to change the chat functionality to only work after a keypress like enter or similar.. I have read from others that this will turn your normal windows cut and paste back to normal.
