also, YOU may not be doing it as a profitable business, but most here ARE.

I'm chose to give up my rifelman skills, so i can actually make some money as a weaponsmith, because chef's make very little money.

Yes, ranger are more broken then chefs (obviously that is my other profession) Chefs have something to give to the community, and in most cases it is unique, and if a player is smart, a very desirable product...

What do rangers bring to the table that a scout does not? Easily fixed? If that is the case, why hasn't it? Anyways, this is not about rangers, but chefs.

Do Chefs need more polish, more help? ......YES YES YES....

Do threads like this asking for deletion of this profession misrepresenting our problems completyin hope for attention help our cry for help? ... NO NO NO!

Kahlif is the Howard Stern of our culinary world, and I think I understand what he is trying to do, but he is too emotional and irrational, which is NOT helping us. Remember, we are not just dealing with developers, we are dealing with a coporate culture, and in this case, a corporate giant, whodesign and implement milestones for developers to achieve.

Then again I am being an idiot myself for posting on this idiotic thread to begin with, instead of letting it getting buried with all the refuse

hey... anyone..... Got Milk?

Actually I just reread Kahliff's orignal post, and I now remember why I was banging my head against the monitor while my hand hit the "reply" button:

"1) Eliminate the Chef profession"

Huh? oh wait, that was his shock statement, his attention getter in the hopes of maybe getting SOE reponse...ok..I kept reading...

Then this came along:

"5. Offer all characters that have Chef trained to receive a refund of all XP, to be reallocated into another profession. Either offer to put it under 1 pool of XP of the player's choosing, or make a general XP pool that, when you go to train any skill, it will take XP out of that pool first, to deplete it before using any earned XP."

Ouch, stop sniffing that felt pen there. Any valid comment / concernKahliff had about our profession went out the window.

Comments like that will help us get the serious attention we want and need?

Time to bury this "stinker"

Etzel,

I am insulted by your flaming, troll-like attitude on this board.

The time and energy that it will take to arrange Chef into a valid profession is not worth it. I do not see them implementing an EQ-style, you-must-eat-to-live requirement, and to just make a pass at buffs will take them 6 tries over 3+ months to get them to some semblance of viability.

I have actually made a logical, thought-out (though extreme) RECOMMENDATION to the issue at hand. The response from the devs solidified my feeling that Chefs are never researched by SOE, since the factory stack issue was unknown, and they will specifically target JAWA BEER?!?!?

I just feel that it is a timesink that is not necessary, especially while I am paying $15/month, to make this class something enjoyable to play.

And NO, I am not going to surrender my Chef skills, becuase it represents almost 300 hours of gameplay, and I will not just delete that. I would love to see Chefs become a decent profession, but I do not see the support from SOE that they are dedicated to doing that.

But Etzel, instead of flaming, come up with some constructive replies and maybe some suggestions of your own. Do not insult everything that people say.
