Actually, I did extensive testing with a friends just last night. Attack was ranged shot on a TKM, unarmored target.
50 shots - no food: 10 misses
50 shots - pikatta pie: 10 misses
50 shots - air cake: 10 misses
What does this mean? I'll let you figure it out. Pikatta pie and air cake are borked, for PvP at least.

Redo the tests using a special other than ranged shot. Most higher damage specials, which are what is used in PvP, have accuracy penalties, particularly roots, KDs, and high damage hits. Using them, you'll probably see a greater difference in miss chance.

as far as i know whether an attack hits or misses is still based on a luck roll, so the more attacks you do to test, the lower the test's error will be. with a pool of 50 attacks, the pikatta could be increasing the chance an attack will miss by 2% and you won't be able to tell. or the trial could have just been a random error producing inaccurate results. i think when i did this in pve the #s were somewhere around 400 or so attacks.
