I probably paid about 5 million for my suit +25/+25. But I was buying skill tapes when they were broken and people would throw them up on the bazaar for 100 credits. A suit like that now, is about 30 million.

I've been a chef since release, back when it was a joke of a profession, and I started collecting skill enhancements then. I got a +5 tape off the bazaar for 250 credits and a +4 pair of tusken boots sold to me for 200creditsby a random guy in Entha because he had been carrying them around for days and I was the first chef he had seen. 
When chef aprons came out, I got one and put the +5 in a chef hat, for 11 points. Then started looking around for the last point. I bought a +1 off a guildie, won an auction for a +3 and recently bought another +3 from a friend of a friend. Then I traded the +4 boots (as a female toon I can't wear them) for a +3 tape, and finally had my +20. (And thanks again Ahee, you rock!!) So the total only came to a few million credits, but it would cost 30-40 million on my server to build the full suit now. IMO that is not worth it. My food was selling great as an 11 pointer, andI couldn't really charge enough more for it as a 12 pointer to get a return on the many millions I'd have to invest. So I waited around for a more affordable alternative. I'm glad I've got 12 now - it's great seeing the big numbers come out - but I'm glad I didn't pay the going prices for it either.

+10 sneakers - 12 mil
+3 tape - traded
The rest - 6 mil
Expensive, but I can now be a +2 chef and +1 ws in one suit, so i'm happy.

Right now actually im will be a +11, Apron +5 +1's, I need +10 in 2 pieces. You think I should Buyout a +12 Bandolier, +3 bots, and an Apron for 35 mil?

With trades and selling old pieces I ended up with a +21 exp/ +25 assembly suit for roughly 20 mill. I'm keeping my eyes out for a +4 exp tape to bring me up to +25, but on Valcyn I expect it to run me around 10 million and I don't know if it'll be worth it. I guess it'll depend on how much I've got in my pocket at the time...
