Thread: Stable/Barn request
This is not the first call for such an idea. One thing that concerned me was the impact this would have on Rangers/Scouts (after all - creature harvesting is a mainstay for their professions). I posted it to the Rangers asking their opinions. (please - don't go trolling, there) The general opinion I've gotten is that there is no problem, and it is actually, as it is intended. In some ways, this does make sense, as it serves to limit the amount of high quality fare.
Just thought I'd share,
Misterie
I've brought this idea up with the rangers (the people most effected, in my opinion)

This is all great, but...
Wouldn't thisfarmer businesstake an axe toa chunk of theScout / Ranger class. Are they not the ones who gather the creature resourcesand sell to usin bulk?
It might put a dent into the ranger profession, but that really depends on how many lots it takes to put up a stable. If a stable cuts into a factory or harvester count, then they might be used wisely. I'm sure there would be some way to balance it, whether by lower quality milk and meat, or the penalty of the lots or maintenance.
Perhaps only rangers can provide the animals and they die after so many milkings and meat harvesting....
Bah..SOE had to react to the current volume of 'storage' items and is having difficulty. How could they handle another large amount of resource storage that would occur.
I actually think BE should have the Rancher ability. the BE could sample, create, raise and bread his animals. He could maintain a Rancor farm or a gnort farm. Of course the farm would have to be like 3-5 lots depending on the amount of animals a farm could hold. This could even branch off in to 'game ranch', 'beef ranch', 'milk farm' , etc, etc.
well ...just another wild thought
a barn for dairy products ie eggs/milk would work but i think that should be a BE influenced mechanism... make 2 babies.. populate the barn... feed and care for them ( domesticate) then they will have a chance for " breeding" and from there you have a geneticc stock that you can manipulate how you see fit... breed 2 milkers and get a super milker with lower chances of breeding... breed two milkers for a super stud...
maybe a small kickback of meat/hide... but the bio engineering of milkable creatures, stocky resource providers... and maybe even combat creatures would rock...
