My problem with this isn't so much the degradation in the quality of my product, as the degradation in the fun I have making them. If you can only really concentrate on one line, then Chef is going to bea very boring place to be, and we'll be seeing a LOT of identical (or close) products out there.

At the moment, there is a genuine challenge in striking a balance between all the properties of the food, retrying for amazingsuccesses thatmake it just that little bit better, etc.- I just can't see that surviving this change

Also, can anyone explain how 'good/great/amazing' successes will work in this system? Or have they been TOTALLY removed? I'm struggling to find the original 'source' definition of these changes...

As a food consumer I'm a bit worried what the change will mean for brandy (or any other food) that needs to be experimented down to hit a happy filling number (50, 33, etc.). Has anyone on test figured out it these experimentation changes will mean things like going from 2 hits of 400 brandy at a time to 1 hit of 410 brandy or 2 this of 350 brandy?

Should I be worried about things like this, or is brandy normally so close to 50% that it takes minimal work to get it under? (also worried about filling + quality of other foods like sytnsteak, but eating multiple of those takes time + some digestion so the numbers are already kinda fungible)

i myself am not worried i got 50 crates of brandy stockpiled. Now if they did something stupid like make all the stuff in the crates unpullable(is that a word:smileyvery-happyI would be really pissed.I already have a crate of prenerf FWG5 that i can use.I am sure they arent that stupid. It would mean the end of this game for me if that did happen though.

When it all comes down to it...the devs aretelling us thatthe game is finished, since they are changing things that and now they are tinkering with things. Perhaps someone should inform them that there is still a lot to fix that is actually broken.

This will hurt chefs probably the most as all 4 lines are important to us, rather than just one or 2 like WS/AS/Doc. If you don't have that 50% fill on brandy to start with, you are screwed. You will no longer have high effect long duration brandy, just one or the other, which right now you need to make that choice as is. I would need 16-20 points to max out both nut and flavor of my brandy. So chefs already make that 'choice' that was talked about while crafting. This is just a big nerf and nothing else. The reasons given were pathetic to say the least and show a complete lack of understanding of the crafting system and economy in the game.

Couple these changes in the crafting with what they plan on doing in Pub 8 and this whole game will be taken down about 20 notches.

Personally I really don't care that they want to reduce the quality of what we can craft in the game. Many times I have gone into battle against another people with stacked defenses, best armor, best food, Possibly double buffed, and lost horribly. So a reduction in some of these areas is welcome by me. On the other hand you will also have the people that have enough money to buy up enough pre-nerf supplies to last them for a few years. Now that is going to be a very huge problem for a long time to come.

Along the lines of being a Chef, sure this change will affect all the stats in a way. Chefs, like all other multi stat line crafters will be hit pretty hard. This can be countered by using better resources. Getting that filling at or below 50% before experimentation will be a huge step that we will all have to strive for. I personally will be placing 9 points in effect and the 10th one in quantity. Leaving my Brandy somewhere around 21 uses, 50 fill, 33+ dur, at 400+ power.

I have only heard reports from TS so I have no hard facts when it comes to the actual changes and how they really affected the Chefs. But from what I have heard this will be something we will get over.

i agree the largest problem is going to be with people who have the deep pockets who can store up the higher grade pre-patch stuff.

Here is my view on things. The devolopers are like someone sleeping over someone elses house. They woke up in the middle of the night(aka now they are starting to see the messed up things in the game). Dont know where the light switch is and now are blindly walking into walls and opening closet doors(adjusthing things that shouldnt be adjusted). Now we just have to wait to see how long it will take for them to find the light(start playing the game and see what is going on), and once they wake up they realize that no one is home(everyone quit).

I hope they just wake up and ask their friends where the bathroom is(ask us the people who play this game how they can make it better).
