Saitek,

Just out of curiosity, how much do you sell regular synthsteak for?

"You could say that point about virtually any crafting profession. Selling resources is an easy option for anyone but I'm not a resources supplier, I'm a chef, so I make food. "

My point is thatyou sell yourself short with your price structure. My price structure is resource costs times 2. I value my chef skills at an equal rate to resource side of things.

Its not as if you bumped your prices up a bit so you were actually charging for the chef end of the business that your customers would stop coming.

I really dont think I sell myself short. You are charging resource costs x 2. Since I gather all my own resources, it costs me about .2 (approx) per unit of resource, so if I sell food for even 4 or 5 cpu, I still make a large profit.

I charge 45K for BE stuff... but that's upped a bit because I had trouble keeping the Light Additives going, heh.

Basically I charge 10 CPU for normal resources, 20 CPU for Named, and 40 CPU for Hide/Meat/Bone (used to be 20 cpu, but no one charges less than 20 cpu for even substandard creature stuff anymore)

. A little extra for factory costs, and a bit more if I can't keep it stocked. I charge 500 per regular unit of Synsteak, and charge 1800 per BE Unit (used to charge 1400, but my Light additives have gotten harder to get)

Mine 42% reduction for 33 attacks by the way. Not the greatest... but solid.

Was going to make a long cost thread, but no point really at 4 or 5 cpu you toss the resources in for free when you could sell them. If you value the resources then you toss your chef know how in for free.

But if your happy with your prices, then thats all that really matters.

Sure your making a profit, but your still basically giving away free stuff.

Lets look at synthesteak in terms of what the resources can easily be sold for assuming high quality going to say 5 cpu for floral and 10 cpu hide

20 vegatables x 6

20 cereal

5 hide

ok so...

basically 40 x 6 = 240 + 5 x 10 = 290 x 25 (crate) = 7250 (hell lets add on another 2k for external costs) = 9250....hmm

I think I'll stick with my pricing, thanks.
