heres a trick that almost never fails for me
first, find some fambaas or pikets (whatever planet youre on,naboo or dantooine) now, once they start to run away, run afetr them, timing however how long until the next "you continue to milk the creature" message, you can run between those messages to keep up with the skitsy little basterds, and always keep 3 meters away, prime milking distance
that always works for me =P

I think milking would be a lot easier if I had a better conn. I pull a 3k ping on a good day, which means, but the time the critter has registered as moving on my screen, they are already 15 meters away. Kind of funny that connection speed is more of an issue with milking than with PvP. Still, I've managed to collect about 9k of a great Lokian milk in the last week. As boring as sin, but I'm expecting a healthy profit off the nutricake.

I'd have to agree with the other posters that milking needs to be done instantly. Right now it's even slower than DNA sampling. We can skin, gut, and debone a Kimo in 2 seconds, why not let us do the same with milking?

I do a lot of milking for the PA chef, and let me tell you, I've about had it with kaadus and milk. The things are so skittish, last night I just said screw it, opened up with the FWG and got to that primo avian meat I was after them for in the first place.
Give me a fambaa or even a rogue falump or a savage humbaba to milk before a kaadu. So what if they aggro on me, it's less frustrating!

Ughhh milk is a pain to keep in stock, much easier to gather meat for bio tissues. I don't see why anyone would bother keeping milk... I hear tales about how people sell blue milk, but it seems with a vasarian heavy market, blue milk wouldn't have a place, I think it would be better if the devs brought back the glucose Pate. I also don't sell any foods requiring bantha butter (couldn't push them off the vendors at even rock bottom prices)

I sell a little blue milk, but not much. You're right, most people are so full of brandy they don't want any other drinks. The only food I make with bantha butter is Pikatta Pie, which has a small but loyal following. But I go through milk like crazy making Multisaccharide Tetramate (flavor enhancer) for Parwan Nutricake. The flavor effect (burst run downtime reduction) is what people buy the food for, and it's become a really hot seller.
I've had the best luck getting milk by hiring newbies, professional entertainers, and others who don't have an easy source of money. Anyone who can pull 5-digit credits on missions or kill things that yield a lot of meat is not going to find it worth their time to milk for cash. But for some people it's a windfall.

Since i started this thread, only been able to collect 30k of milk! man this blows!
Everyone hates "yankin for milk"
Devs, Chef Correspondant, please see what can be done to allow milk to be harvested when the hunters kill an animal.
Thanks

I've considered milking myself as well......might take alot less time.
Milking is crazy - it's almost not worth it. I've only made one crate of Blue Milk ever and the guy never came to pick it up. Why even bother?
