Trolling is repeated replies to a specific post in a given amount of time. It isnt an unconstructive post or a poster tryin to get a reaction out of someone

Trolling on these boards is defined as saying anything negative (even if it is well worded, polite, well-thought out, and justified) about SOE, galaxies, or customer service. An old player on oru server was permabanned (in game and on the forums) for an obviously humorous remark about SOE. IF a mod is reading this, I would like to point out that this does not reflect badly in any way, shape, or form on SOE or any of its affiliates and quite frankly I am ecstatic that I am able to participate in such a fine game with such fine forums moderated by such fine, upstanding people.

Disagreeing is not equal to trolling. Presenting reasons for disagreeing is not equal to trolling. Calling people troll for disagreeing is bordering it, though.

Actually, trolling is a fishing term. Trolling is cruising along dragging bait in the water behind you, as opposed to sitting still.

On a forum, trolling is posting blatantly inflammatory stuff trying to piss people off. "Trolling" for a response, as it were.

Well I think the best definition of trolling would be making posts with the intent of causing problems. Or trying to insite arguements, taking comon foul language and replacing certain characters to bypass profanity filters.

Most often the devs will simply ban you for trolling for a variety of different reasons that fall into that general category.
