Hehe, I remember the first time I saw a medium flora. "OMG! 4 BER! Wow!"

For you young'uns, in the misty dawn of time architects 1) couldn't create a required component for medium or large flora harvesters and 2) couldn't experiment the extraction rate, so all personals were 2, all mediums were 4, and all heavies were....7? I think that's right, I never got one until after the experimentation fix.

Not to mention there was no such thing as "Practice" mode, so every dozen or two items you had to go through your inventory and delete all the stuff you made so you'd have room to make more.

Also the crafting tools now remember the last thing you made, and highlight that when you open them again... They didn't do that back then. You'd have to scroll down and select the item you wanted to make every single time. And the higher you got in skill, the more recipes would show up and the further you had to scroll. (And Wastril Bread was at the bottom of the list!)

chef takes maybe 9 hours though its not bad at all

I did a time study on Ithorian Mists while I ground them. I had a macro running on 5 crafting tools cycleing them as soon as they were done. It too about 37 seconds to cycle 1 station with the pauses and load time and about 40 seconds for my macro to cycle through all 5 stations. 5 X 178 xp = 890 xp per 40 seconds which is about 1335 xp per minute with no failures, assuming 10% failure (go to a city with the assemby bonus and that drops a lot) your making right at 1200 xp a minute, which is 72090 appx xp an hour, or 648810 appx. xp in 9 hours, not enough to get all the way through chef. Your about 100k or so short. So assuming a 10% failure your looking at about 10 hours 20 minutes.

BUT thats assuming all of chef is Ithorian Mists. You'll have a much harder time with Wastril Bread as it yeilds about half the xp in about the same time, like 28 seconds per go. So you'll need 76800 xp on bread, assuming 30 seconds per cycle on 4 stations at 73 xp a pop and 10% failure your making 526 xp per minute. To make 76800 xp (enought to go from Novice to Mix 2)you'll need about 2.5 hours less with fewer failures.

SO: 2.5 hours to make 76800 xp. Leaving 667100 xp to grind at 72090 xp an hour or 9.25 hours. Totalling 11.75 hours not counting app. xp time but that shouldn't be to hard to do.

Guess who's an engineer?

On another note I ground through DE one BER 2 personal harvs and after I made some money I shelled out for some BER 4 MMI's that cost me an arm and a leg and towards the end I borrowed a BER 6 Deep Crust Chemical extractor that I thought was a miracle. I could grind for about an hour every other day before I'd run out of resources. After I mastered DE on basically personal harvs I decided I could do anything in SWG, ANYTHING!!!!!! I did chef pretty much standing on my head. The mapped wheel click to double click is about the best thing EVAR!!!!

Would someone please explain to me how exactly you get the jedi-profession, and how hard it is to get it. I have been debating whether or not i want to do it, but i cant make a decision without knowing more about it. I know the basic you open a holocron and it gives you a profession, but couldi open three at a time? Would they give me all the same answer? If they gave me different ones, would ihave to do them in order? Can you do a bunch just to not do certain profession? Approximately how much time does it take? Is it worth it? Well thanx in advance

No offense, but there are no less than 5000 posts in here just like this. We get about two to three a week minimum. Can you please take the time to use the search feature? Better yet, check out the sticky FAQ post for some research into your questions. I'm not flaming you here by any means, but our forum is so choked to death with the same questions day after day that it really has become frustrating.

First you have to be under the age of 14 and willing to Whine a whole lot. You have to hate bounty hunters no matter what. Oh and you have to want to Expliot to get that XP and keep from getting on the BH terminals....If you have all that you will be another in a long line of Jedi crybabies.

Honestly, at this point in time, if you havent gotten started now, you wont be able to unlock by the time they change the system. Just wait untill they make it quest based then work to unlock.

Stryider, this is what you do:

1. Find someone on your server with four holocrons and buy them.

2. Buy a Large Tat house. Goes without saying this needs to be placed on Tat.

3. Fill the house with furniture. Need to buy the biggest table you can find to place in house.

4. Place all four holocrons on the table.

5. Get in the skimpiest outfit you can find on your server and wear it. The outfit also needs to be pink, bright pink. You can not just dress down to your skivies.

6. Need to invite 100 of your ingame friends to your Tat house. To perfrom a dance for them.

7. Dance around the table that has the holocrons on it while your 100 friends are watching.

8. Need to complete 10000 trips around the table. If you do not have Novice Entertainer then you need to get it to complete this step.

9. Need to have your toon say Oca Booga (in sinister emote)has it dances around the table.

10. Can not do any of the above while AFK. The DEVs have a tool that can detect if you are not at your keyboard.

11. After doing the 10000th trip around the table you need to stop and open all 4 holocrons within two seconds.

12. Presto Chango. You are then a Jedi.

Or is this how one is suppose to get arrested? I forget. Better safe then sorry though. SO my advice is to do steps 1 through 10 and see what happens.
