Thread: FIRE THE CHEF DEV CONSULTANT
Weather or not the problem is up the dev tree or not, unless you have a way to complain to those people the Chef Dev is the guy that SOE has designated to take concerns and complains from the players.
If after all this time of known chef bugs have not been fixed, I have to blame it on the fact that the desginated person is not trying or communicating with the proper developers to fix the problem.
I understand the demand for Chef fixes is only coming from a few people cause Chef isn't a popular profession but were not asking them to add new stuff but only fix existing problems.
Im taking the PETA approch. The more Drastic the more attention. When PETA wants people to stop eating cows they say: Don't Drink Milk Drink Beer instead. Cause them just saying Don't eat Meat doesn't get any attention. Now I don't agree with PETA on anything I think there nuts. But they know how to get attention.
I would try to be a little nicer about it but that hasn't worked so far for anyone. After 3 major patches and them hardly doing anything to fix Chef I say its time to pass out the torches.
Abel, I recommend you drink lots of beer before reading the next update notes, just in case they don't say what you are expecting. From what I've gathered from Thunderheart's posts, the next pass contains vehicles, phase 1 of the new combat system, CH changes, and phase 1 of the DE changes. Then they are going to start on professions, of which chef is one of the top 4. In other words, factoring in holiday work schedules and vacations, don't expect any significant changes to the profession until at least the middle of January.
Upsetting? Absolutely. In the six months since release, chef has only been viable for about 3. That definitely strikes me as a development problem.

Why does everyone insist on defending the Devs?
I give credit where credit is due, and I also give blame where blame is due. And the fact that most of this has not been fixed is not the chef developers fault. It is the fault of people higher up who is giving the chef developer too much to do.
But he is working on things now, as fast as he can (there is a lot of work to be done.) These things do not happen instantly.
I am not asking the moderators to close this post.
