Look at the duration on the canape though. Yeah, it's good for PVP fights that aren't going to last long, but for any extended hunting you're better off with Ahrisa just because of the duration. Double shot of brandy and a stack of ahrisa will insure no mind damage from specials for 45 mins (with decent quality food anyway).
Besides, ahrisa is for focus, not willpower. What's the average time on canape, 11 minutes? Takes about 45 mins for your stomach to empty. That's 34 minutes of NOT having the buffs, or 15 minutes before you are able to eat another one at 33 filling. Don't get me wrong, canape does have its uses, but they are very limited uses.
Also, vercupti is also a limited use item. Good for PVP for the extra boost. And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't vercupti supposed to be a pet food? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it recieves a nerfing soon to return to the pet food arena along with all the other substantial HAM boosting food.

That's some awesome brandy and ahrisa.
The stuff I get usually only does about 36 minutes, but that's long enough.
Canape sucks. If you want an emergency mind boost and it doesn't need to last much more than ten minutes, just pop a muon gold. It works a heck of a lot better.

if I meet a CM I tend to pop a muon AND all the canape I can get..just so I live a few extra second...and that could be enough time to kill that lowly cm...

gwith area cures and innoculations coming in o play I think I'll have much less need for canape tho

Yes vercupti WAS a pet food, but around patch 7 or 8 they changed it to work for us too...they wanted to give chefs a better HAM buff to market.
But it was intentionally changed I remember those patch notes.

canapie isnt that bad i make it on my server only for personal use not for sale and mine is +684 to focus and willpower at 33 filling for 22 minutes.

i see some are recomedning Ahrisa.
for my money, i'll stick with Canape.
at least i'll stick with my +745 33 filling 12 minute Canape. (that is a total modifier of 2235 on both mind secondaries, then add the brandy and my mind secondaries are higher than any of my other fully buffed stats)

1100 mind
1100 focus
800 willpower
in brandy or arisha and my mind doesnt move. but only whan im not wearing armor
and the 550 power boost is nice too

vercupti is my savior. Been using some +1050 for 7.5 mins and 50 filling. So let's say with my Mon Cal Mind of 1300, get an average dancer buff of 1600 from a very great guy on Flurry named Airdew, which brings it up to 2900. Use powerboost and get it to 3350. Pop 2 vercupti to make it 5650. Add 2 +425 brandy for 6500. Add a moun and make it 7k... Scary, huh?

what would you canape fans do after 10min of pvping? die?... I stick to the ahrisa+brandy when I havent got entertainer buffs and only brandy when I have entertainer buffs... then i can use my food for other stuff like dodge etc...

I use brandy and 33 filling Canape +700 for PvP, and pop one canape every 11 mins or so, mind is king in PvP and regening it is as importaint as maintaining it after specials I find, for PvE I use ahrisa+brandy for the duration as regen isn't as importaint.

Never tried it, but lets do the math
Unenhanced Canape might have stats *around* the following:
+350
10 mins
33%
if you leave it at 40% you might get 15 mins or so
Heave Flavor additive (+duration) gives a bonus of 50-70%. lets assume perfect ones here with 70%.
So you'd either have +350, 17 min, 33% or +350, 25.5 min 40% Canape. More likely less, or lower buff.
well 33% decays in 15 minutes so it would work if you only take one of those.
40% takes around 18 mins, so that one works too, but also only single. (at least if you want to be always buffed)
Not to mention that each heavy flavor additive needs 40 milk... thats 1000 per crate of canape. and it has to be quite good one, since otherwise it will lower the stats of the additive.
