Thread: Chef Correspondent Getting Bummed

Actually I think we only just make it into the top 5 of bugged/screwed professions:

In the lead we have the almighty commando. The few weapons that do work as advertised(working schematics)suck ass.

In second place we have combat medics, with several abilities that sound great... pity only the long range heals work, which is merely a luxury... so they're medics that get a nice title...

Third, I suspect is bio-engineers, what with their pets being worse then the ones in the wild, most of their components uncraftable for various reasons(such as milk), and the remaining ones broken(the ones that go in clothing), or practically unusable(chefs cant afford to pay for the micronutrients).

Fourth is probably us. Either us or droid engineers whose probots have been nerfed to oblivion, but I guess their crafting bots work so they get the honor of fifth place.

Ok, this is a mini rant, just to get out of me system.

Getting a little agrivated that we have not heard from Q about that initial report, especially since they don't want another one until Q addresses the first report. In the mean time, more and more bugs are popping up and it is becoming more and more obvious that...they really did a half-assed job on the chefs. I hate saying that, but they did.

Grrrr, I say, grrrrrr.

One more thing. :Whacks the developers upside the head.: Listen to correspondent!

Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

We're here with you bro. Just as frustrated. But I'm still hangin in there...hopefully they'll fix some of this stuff. But there's still bugs raging everywhere in this game. Had a guild member last night get stuck down in the basement. Elevator said he was on the top most floor. grrr...

the only thing that keeps me grinding are the hopes that one day chef buffs will be great

what basic professions do you mean J2xC?

you can't mean the fighter because half of their specials are bugged (f.i. carbineer: actionshot2 only bleeding the target instead of AE and having area posture change supposed to be on surpression2 which in turn does nothing, wildshot1&2 doing less damage than fullauto2 despite of beeing higher in the tree, scattershot displaying 1 damage dealt) none of the defensive skills have any effect etc

you can't mean any of the crafting classes because all face several issues.

what you might mean is the novice professions, and them working is one of the reasons novice profession stuff seems vastly overpowered compared to higher level things in most cases...

They have issues yes, but all the basic professions are generallyfunctioning as intended in the general cycle of things. Carbineers are still killing stuff despite bugs in their specials, weaponsmiths are still selling weapons despite bugged crafting/experimentation, etc.

It's the optional professions that have serious problems that are near game-stopping. Combat medics are in zero demand, chef buffs are used by very few, commando's aren't giving heavy weapons support, bio-engineers aren't supplying components or selling pets. This is what I mean.

Q posted several days ago stating that the correspondent programme wasnt up to speed yet, and they were hiring a new staff member to act as intermediary.

I don't think its a case of the Chef correspondent getting ignored, just a case of the system getting bogged down due to the sheer number of work to be done

I don't feel like I am being ignored...at least not more than the other correspondents are. (Although commando has two already? grrrrr.) It is just very frusterating right now and feel like I have to vent.

I am trying not to lay too much of this on Q-3PO. I know from the past that he really tries his best at this job, and if he is falling behind there is a good reason. so I am not blaming Q right now. I am not blaming anybody for anything....but it's still frusterating.

I realize that the Q has other moderation jobs, but why set up the corespondent if you are going to fall behind and not utilize them after the FIRST report? It should take a week to go through 33 professions, giving the starting classes a look first (since they are the most used), and then sorting the elites out by their essentialness (that a word?) in the game. Chefs would be hanging out with the BEs and DEs, but everyone should have gotten a response by now.

They will catch up eventually, these scheduling issues always occur in large businesses.
