TH's job is communication, plain and simple. He made a mistake, promising something that he could not give, but who knows who let him down. However he made another mistake which we would like him to rectify ASAP. He didn't come back, and come clean: "sorry guys, but there won't be that news i promised you".
Yes there is an absurdly complicated piece of code behind this game. Clearly too complicated (from the amount of resurfacing bugs there have been), BUT...
Anyone noticed how, since the last major publish, complaints have died down about a hundred-fold? In large parrt I think due to a certain resignation on the part of players that Professions are what they are. These guys can I think be forgiven for taking a moment to breathe a huge sigh of relief that the game community has attained a short moment of relative happiness. The Thing is...
they promised in the next publish to address Profession issues. That was a brave statement, ,and in my opinion utterly necessary (not only for Chefs, though having said that- YES! please PLEASE make Chefs more fun and relevant). But with a new round of Profession adjustments they risk stirring up the Hornet's nest once more- a whole and vicious new round of 'They're better than we are: nerf them,slaughter, faster pussycat kill kill'...
It's necessary, they need to do it, but I can't help but feel a glimmer of sympathy for them.
