The last time I used bio-additives in soypro, the final item had HALF the buff of standard items :/

no...Correlian Fried Ice Cream is not really a good substitute for Ryshcate. I made a few batchs with top notch materials to be sure, and with really good experimenting, I got one batch to be +316 focus, 287s, 5use. You can only eat one Ice creamon a empty stomach too. I can get the focus buff of a 5 stack Ryshcate to higher then the Ice Cream, plus the Rysh gives you str, quick, too. The 5 stack Ryshcates are lasting over 400s.

A plus for the Ice Cream is the soypro, which can take the optional Bio Engineered additive. If any one has made Bio Engineered soypro Correllain Fried Ice Cream, please let us know what results you got.

Istill feelRyshcate is the more useful itemhere, even if all you are looking for is the focus buff. I must have messed up my ice cream the other day somehow, but I made some more tonight and got:

todays Correlian Fired Ice Cream

+412 Focus, 267s, 5 use and +441, Focus, 271s, 3 use

but..todays Ryshcate

Str +420, 337s

Quick +412, 341s

Focus +414, 337s 5 use stack

I experiment with subcomps, but I only have 6 ex pts in artisan, so its possible I am useing 'gimped' carbosyrup. However, since Ryshcate also uses a carbosyrup, the comparison between the two items should not be affected. Also, don't forget that Ryshcate fills you up less, you can even eat two at once on a empty stomach.

Ryshcate's experimentation range is excellent also, I am getting stacks of 13 with a very respectable +220 to stats for over 300s, if we go for stack size rather then maximum stat buff. I have not tried to make the Ice Cream for quantity yet, if anyone has, how does it come out when its in larger stacks??

I sell a buttload of ryshcate. I can't keep it in stock and I've increased the price from 150 credits per serving to 800 credits per serving for stacks of 12... and I still have people sitting in my lobby waiting for it to be put out. Ryshcate is just a lesser version of Breath of Heaven. When combined, you get some amazing buffs (or so I've been told by the people that keep buying me out).

So Ida.. read your last post on this thread, and that is what I'm addressing.

The foods last 1-2 minutes TOPS? what are you talking about... I've never made anything that only lasts 1-2 minutes TOPS except for Novice Chef Wastril Bread or whatever... 2 minutes is 120 seconds.. you realize that right? I honestly have never made anything that lasts that short.. (I take that back. Entrees 3 was terrible, there were a few items in there that lasted that long)

As for eating high level foods only once... I'm not sure about that, but I believe you. I just can't believe you are complaining about something that gives you 400 to each Drain Rate stat for 6 minutes... that doubles my statistics.

I enjoyed this post because it was ChefEddy letting us know what a great food this was. Without it, I probably never would have made it, but it is one of my best selling Foods. So let's stop trying to argue with him and say how much better Tatooine Sunburn is.. or how much BETTER doctor buffs are.. because we Don't Really Care. At least I don't. I read these posts in order to know how to become a better Chef. I DON'T READ these forums in order to learn how much better Doctors buffs or Spices are. Each buff has it's pros and cons. You have to HAVE a doctor to get his buffs.. and Spice downers leave you vulnerable and weak. Spices should be more potent than food. It's a fact.

Sorry if I sound a little annoyed in this post. I'm just sick of people always saying how much better Spice is. and how much better Doctors are. GO POST THAT SOMEWHERE else. And ChefEddy. Thank you for the great information, I owe you big time. This food was a great find for me.

Doctor buffs you when effects last 2 hours

You visit chef buff 10 tatoonie sunburns effects good for 40 mins.

Now if the doctor buffed you right outside of the place you plan on hunting in a camp thats 2 hours of fighting with all 6 non Mind Stats buffed for 1500 or more

Now that master chef buffed you for 1500 for 4 mins but they can last you 40 mins if used right.

or they can last you 20 mins if you use 2 at a time.

Chef buff lasted for a less amount of time then doctor only concience was you could use them exactly when you wanted. but you lost 90 focus and effects would most likely ruun off before the second fight.

The Doctor buffs had the Convience that you didnt need to waist inventory room remember to eat right before you fight and 6 stats annd no debuffs..

and spices ? that takes about 2 hours to go from Spice Craft 1-4 they shouldnt be beter then ANYthing a Master Chef can make it takes less exp then Getting to Entries 1 from novice chef

I can't make this item because I don't have desserts yet. I agree it's a nice item and I would make it if/when I could.

Of the items I can make, here are some of the times they last with the best ingredients on hand(this is tested by me, not from some list):

  • Sunburn: 7 minutes

  • Bivoli Tempari: 13 minutes

  • Zermaauc: 7 minutes

  • Gruuvan Shaal: 1.5 minutes

  • Fire Stew: 5 minutes

  • Ormacheck: 2 minutes

  • Patot Panak: 1.5 minutes

  • Granilyn Juick: 3 minutes

  • Veghash: 1.5 minutes

  • Berry wine: 2.5 minutes

  • Blood chowder: 2 minutes

  • Stewe Gwouch: 1.5 minutes

My largest current buff to secondary mind stats: 2 minutes.

I don't often experiment on duration, as I don't find I get big improvements. I usually experiment on nutritional value as I like to see bigger effects if the buffs are going to be short.

Yes, there are a few big ticket items. No I can't make them all yet. But considering I've put waaaaay more time into food crafting than I ever put into doctor yet, don't you think I should make more than a couple things that will last you through a fight?

It's not only the fact that spice is better (in addition to having better buffs, it FILLS your HAM bars when it boosts them, instead of just giving you a nice chunk of white on the end of your current bar), but that doctor buffs are obscenely better.
