Thread: How many of us are left?

I'm slowly grinding up the trees on Tempest. I'm hoping that if I go slow enough, the class may actually work correctly when I reach master.

I think I'm going to start counting how often I hear, "Hey! A Chef! I've never seen one of them before!"

I've only been playing for a few days and finally got enough xp for Dom Arts III last night. I know it's going to take a while to get to master chef - but the whole idea of being a chefmakes mewant to do it. Before I started playing the person who introduced me toswg told me I shouldn't be one because of all the bugs, but I decided to do it anyway because that's whatsparked my interest.Forme the whole idea of roleplaying isthe experience of creating a character and living in his/her shoes for a while, so i'm not really concernedabout buffs and bugs as much asI am thefun (personally) I'm having making stuff. True I have to eat most of the stuff I make because no onewants it - but I'm a darn good cook so I don't mind

Still working toward Novice Chef. I may try to get to Mix 2 to get the sunburn, if the devs don't nerf it in the attempt to balance-pass our items. I really have only grinded for two days in the past 4 weeks to try to reach Novice. I guess I have been letting the gloom of the profession get to me. I triedroleplaying in the cantina, but many of the players on my server don't seem interested. Even giving my stuff away for free was disappointing. I was extremely disappointed to learn that the dev team gave the player-owned cantinas to the Entertainer/Dancer class. So now we have even less of nothing than the nothing we didn't have to begin with.Even if they do give uscatinas later, the game will already be populated withcatinas in all the most desireable locations and already have a client base. When I started playing this game (my very first MMORPG), I had one goal. Provide the best buffs in the game. Since letting my interest in chef slip (but not die), I have dedicated myself to becoming a Doctor to get those buffs. I made Novice Doctor last night. The verdict is still out on keeping Chef permanently.

I'm new to the chef profession, but plan to stick with it.

This is actually my second character, one with more of a role-playing spin than my other (a ranger/rifleman loner-type on Wanderhome).

Even if the devs deside that chefs are too powerfull and we are rulling the game and deside to nerf us (is that even possible at this point?) I will hold on. Not for the devs, not for the game, but because now, its personal.

This is my sig. (for those of you who weren't up to date)

I'm still paying but not playing, does that count?

I won't be back until the balance pass. The bug fixes on deck will only bring us back to the original, pre-patch, crappy Chef...which was bad enough in its own right.

Though.....the "augmentation" comment looks interesting, albeit vague andnoncommital (as usual).
