Thread: Any other chefs Giving up on trying for all Amazing Successes?

Before the CU when there were only a handful of foods we sold, I was like most everyone else and would burn through 1-2 crates of brandy trying for the 2 amazing successes. I didn't do it for every food, but I would at least wait for 1 amazing on the main stat.

But now, I'm making probably a good 15-20 different types of food and am very busy trying to keep things stocked. So, I pretty much gave up this "Wait for Amazing Success" theory and am just making the food as it comes out. It doesn't really seem like the Amazing successes really give you all that much more now, as opposed to the pre-CU foods. There may be a few foods where I really would like at least 1 amazing success to get the extra exp point to put into duration or filling, but most of the time, foods are coming out at a pretty good level with just Great Successes.

I plan on eventually getting my chef some FS Crafting skills to help get more amazing successes, but I definitely don't have the time for this now... Any other chefs out there feel the same way or are you still trying to push for the best possible stats on your foods?

I'm way tooa-nal about the quality of things that have my name on them to not wait for all amazing success. With as good as port is now, though, it almost never takes me more than 24 tries to get an all amazing schem. Artisan things are especially easy with 140 artisan exp, a research center, perfect tool, 44.44 station and port

By the way, what pervert got the word a-nal banned from these forums??

Only if I do large runs for the more expensive products but yes I always try for Amazing Successes for most of the food I make.

Pre CU i tried it for every food... but now it isn't worth it, least of all for the artisan food.

I think that everyone should give up experimenting for the perfect schematic. That way I will be superior and rule the universe!

Sometimes I settle on stuff like port, pica thunder and BoH tho... just cuz I can only get like 9-13 crates from each schematic if I hit all-amazing in the first 24tries. But I'll always try at least 24 times to get that perfect schematic and use up that partial crate of addies that always comes out.

Yeah those 3-4 alcohol schematics are a royal pain! With my resources for bespin port, it comes out the same with an extra point or not, so amazing doesnt affect the final outcome... still comes out to +23 with 20 fill, extra points won't lower the filling or increase the nutrition or quantity so no point in trying lol...

I used to do it for every schem. But frankly as has been said i don't try as hard for them anymore. No need really as most stats cap without them.
