In the little time my guildmates were on, they were very nice to test out my chef foods post- publish 17, from my vendor.
Guess what?
You don't need to be a 12 point or 10 point Chef to excel. All you need to be is a Master Artisan.
Yup, that's right, hardly any of the foods stack anymore. If the foods give action regen, you can only use one at a time.
No eating teltier noodles, scrimpi, and kiwik clusjo swirl at the same time!
And given the longevity of the artisan foods, most players will gravitate towards those.
Chef again, will be utterly useless. In fact, a CSR recently said to another player to just get a Doctor buff for action regen, to heck with the food.
Why don't the dev's just do away with Chef altogether?
Teltier Noodles (action regen), Bofa Treats (health regen), Caf(mind regen), and Pikatta Pie (dodge modifier)for teh win!
I apologize if I sound bitter. I like the profession of Chef and I really resent it when the dev's completely disrepect it.
Looks like I'll be respeccing to Master Armorsmith (heck, who wouldn't like 2 million creditsper suit of armor?)
Signed simply,
Disgruntled 12 Point Chef on Scylla

My guildmates are already talking of going to WoW. They don't like what's going on with this publish either.![]()
If the nerfing of Chef is just another fine example of shoddy coding, fine, but fix it. If not, I am outta here.
There's hardly any population on the server I am on anyway and loot is mostly broken.

I have picked up 2 versions from the forums -
1. its 1 food, 1 drink and 1 spice
2. its any combination of foods but no one thing can recieve more than 1 buff and 1 spice
If its (2) then we can still eat a buff food for each stat, and dodge and accuracy and defence and state resist etc.
Not too much of a nerf?
Which is it?

Sure hope so, thanks for the info.

They're looking into it guys.
I've been told it doesn't sound intentional, and i have high hopes it will not be.

#1 is pretty ridiculous since it would make fillings completely irrelevant. 2 still sucks though because there are dozens of different things that enhance the HAM stats and it would only make the bestcoupleuseful at all.

The Devs stated that solo play would still be possible. It is hard enough as it is with this level BS. If this nerf is working as intended, solo play will be impossible.

Hmph, this was a bug when the CU went live. And when they fixed it spices also became stackable, which was not intended. Bug it, as its not intentional.

They changed that after CU, and until yesterday, you could stack different foosd with same effect.
Did they come back to the immediate CU situation with publish 17?

Its a result of the spice fix i'd presume. The other food fix opened the spice stacking problem in the first place.

Just in time for me to start taking over the business of a chef in my guild that quit! AWESOME.
I am 15 million in debt right now I spent on start-up costs so I hope this isn't as bad as it sounds. Ahh well, I will keep stocking anyway i guess.

They're just completely incapable of making foods stack and spices not stack, aren't they? Was it even in the publish notes this time? I didn't see it...
