Actually Chef looks as if it'll still be a viable and profitable buisness.
So goodbye

I'm not sure how viable we will be a lot of the foods have to low a duration or effect I believe. I think we will see sales drop. However I'm sticking with Chef not going to give up on it

Chef looks great to me in the CU. Im quite pleased with the tweaks to food in the new system and i think chef is going to be as viable (if not more so) then ever. Not sure what info you got, but im liking what i see for sure. Needless to say ill be keeping my master chefs skills right where they are.

From what I am seeing, the low duration and effect won't be that bad. The way I figure it, since buffs are reduced, foods will have more of an important role.
As for the fly by harvester runs.... I don't care unless they nerf mask scent... then there will be hell to pay. No reason I should die in one hit.

Yes Mask Scent is going to be oh so important. My BE has it, but not my Chef due to the fact that he is master of chef, Artisan and Merchant with some combat skills for the left over points. Hmmmm might have to have a play with the character builder.
Still there are many aspects to the CU that have me very concerned. The polls I have seen all show an 80% negative reaction so I would say that "Fixthisbugs" is not alone in feeling like it is all going to be to hard so you should cut him some slack and not be so rude and dismissive.

OK but if he doesn't want a bad reaction he shouldn't come to the chef forums and write threads like "CHEF IS DEAD" and then vaguely mention the couple things changing in the CU. The way I see it, we'll have an almost completely new market since the functions of so many things are changing. There's a ton of room for us to make ourselves useful. Be creative, thorough and inventive with your crafting after the CU. Like I said, we'll have a completely new market to attempt to profit in... as long as our products aren't completely irrelevent the good chefs will survive and prosper.

I really prefer to look at it as basically a new game, with a new set of opportunities.

its my personal feeling about my toon i sticked so much and loved so much i will see cu live and try to place my stuff again but i dont see it positively or why do you think soe announced after cu developing the crafter developing? because they know what they did , not to chef only then to more crafting professions in this game...so that they gonna "balance" thoose after cu to the existing game from 5may on...
after that there come things like free content etc into game (rotw is pay for content) dunno where i read this but its on forum here and offic statement so from a point i feel like that chef is dead till the crafters upgrade after cu well we see i.e. i craft only crap on tc in moment no matter if use flavor tissues or nutrient tissues (flavor tissue make 3min more on an brandy - when full flavor experimented) .......

I'd be interested in seeing how well the foods that are directly related to the new recovery skills sell.
I sold a lot of the prevatatives on special attacks pre-CU, but from what I see in the combat change, if you save enough points, you can recover yourself, thereby negating the need for a food which does the same thing. Point mitigation will be an important factor.

I have a Chef and a BE and i fear that stims is more viable ......
Why peeps should buy food for a buff regen 8 mins ? take into account that solo group nerf intend to crahs down cash and you ll finally get a chef profession crafting useless goods with no buyers as rich as before..............
I love chef and i don t do it for business but i enjoy to have a Master BE cause after CU i ll get the crafter usefull for cash income. You can play post CU without foods but surely not without stims
