I just made DomesticIV, and now I find out I need 19.2k for chef. That seems like quite a bit since my level IV level only cost 6k.

Anyways, I was wondering what people usualy craft to grind to chef? And once they get novice, what do they grind then?

ALSO, would you reccommend taking a couple levels in Cooking, or should I save the points for a combat proffesion?(I just plan to work on mixology)

ALSO, what other drinks are popular besides Tatooine sunburn, and what do they do?

Alot of seperate questions, but I figured I might as well put them all in one post.

Bone armor chestplates IF you have engineering IV, or... one of the deeds to the wind generator.. although I think that ALSO takes engineering of some sort, and althoughpeople claim that making them goes to structure xp, I think if you make the only 2 you can from a Generic Crafting tool, you get crafting experience. Other than that.. make the basic crafting tools, and the solar survey tools, for simple metal components..

That'll take you a whiiile...

The drinks? umm.. I've heard of BoH. Not quite positive on what itdoes, but.. i know its one of the popular ones....

Other chefs'll give better advise >=P just throwing i my basic novice chef knowledge

Don't waste your time and effort. At least until the whole class gets a major overhaul.

Sorry, I used to be more positive and optimistic. I've just been let down by SOE one too many times.

-edit- Would be master chef that is. Apparently the devs don't really care about fixing the fact that our products are pretty well broken.

So I guess that should read..

Run save yourself from the blackhole that is the chef class. It sucks you in with its promise of buffs and RP powers... but its lies ALL lies. And you can't give up the skills because they took so **edit**ing long to get.

I just want to make my tat sunburns, so please, any help would be helpful. You can take your negativity to an other thread. I remember it was just like this in the Commando forums, "Dont become one, nooo!". Now look.

Anyways, anyone have any suggestions?

One important difrence is that they told the Commandos they were going to fix them and make them better, we have recived no such statment besides the designer responses and we all know how well they keep to those.
But if all you want is sunburns just buy them from a chef, they need the money.
But if you really want to go through with this and only want sunburns.
Grind backpacks from Dom IV to novice chef.
Grind Wastril Bread to mix 2. Then if you will your sunburns, though you can't sell the ones you can make with mix 2.
If you want to sell them you'll have to grind Ithorian Mists to get all the way to cooking 4.

I see the same threads posted over and over, does anyone actually do any research?? Its like asking someone in a store immediatly for what aisle you want rather than taking 2 seconds to look for yourself.

I know, all the new chefs that are poping up are either too stupid or too lazy to read the old posts.
And hell they're also too dumb to relize that exp is related to the amount of resouces required to make an item. So just make the item that takes the most resouces.... gezzz is it really that hard/

not only is it that I check the old posts frequently, but you never know when maybe.. possibly, within the hopes of reason.. a change has happened... and perhaps something better has come along.

Reading threads on here... no.. thats not happening... any time soon.

However, it is a LOT more comforting to post on say... Tuesday, and know that SOMEONE who has been working in this class a long time can tell you that you would probably be better off doing this come Wednesday, rather than relying on a thread that ends with "Chef's have been corrupted".. or something to that account.

Not saying that that always happens, and your right, new chef's should look to the old posts and find out things, but its not a sin... to ask...

nor is it one.. to answer... i would suppose.

The reason you are taking chef is so you can make your own Sunburns. Therefore, you're coming here and asking advice fromus so you don't have to buy products from us, people who worked hard so we could make GOOD Sunburns, one of our few sellers.

You want to be a chef? Ask away. You don't want to buy our superior products? Find your own answers.

Also, in the time it would take to get to Mixology 2, you could make a ton of cash just running missions and buy better than you can make with plenty of cash left over.
