Thread: What I don't get about the Milk & Eggs rage...

Firstly lemme say I'm agreed, if you're going to make recipes with milk and eggs then make milk and eggs available. Simple.

Since the Desserts branch requires food exp anyway and we know that stews and Mixologists make the best exp, why does it matter that we can't make desserts to level up through Chef?

I could see the frustration if I couldn't bake my best friend's wedding cake, but how many people are really sitting /mood depressed because they're not getting Snow Cake?

On a different note if we could add some entertainer-style Flourishes to the Cooking branch (i.e. spinning liquor bottle/trick pouring, doing the kiss-your-pinched-fingers thing) I think we'd be in major business.

So you're saying we should all flood the market w/ the same grind over and over and never use all of the skills that we should be able to use? Wow, great plan man.

So, by that reasoning, it would be perfectly reasonable for weaponsmiths to not be able to make Laser Carbines, Vibro Knuckles & Scout blasters, or for a Sniper to have 3-4 special moves missing.

Yes, it isn't a profession stopper, but it is an issue

Yeah I want to make Blue Milk I love the sprite for it!

And honestly when you payed 50 bucks for this game and then the monthly fee, isn't it more of a cop out to just say "eh ditch milk and eggs" then, "fix milk and eggs"

Thats like buying a top of the line car for a top of the line priceand being like "eh ditch the airconditioner", noone would do that.

Actually only people in Alaska might do that.

I think most people agree that it's a low priority item. But it does need to be fixed. Either they need to make milk and eggs available or they need to replace milk with water and eggs with fruit in all the recipies, so they can be made.

Not being able to make a dessert may not be as important as not being able to make a T21 rifle, but it's still a broken recipie that needs to be fixed.

So when did Chefs become part of the knee jerk flame your post in a heartbeat clan? The OP makes a valid point and just wanted opinions or an explanation as to why Milk & Eggs are a BIG priority! The following flaming posts were uncalled for and the first I have seen from the Chef community. You should have your hands slapped with a spatula

Agreed. ^_^

Nothing like having someone argue against you in an intelligent way to bring out the flames.

Here, you can have a flame - free of charge!

Don't you feel more complete somehow? ^_^

Seriously, though - ditch milk and eggs for now, it is the easiest fix. Put them back when you can. It isn't like an air conditioner - we'll still get thecool air(working recipes), we just won't need the air conditioner (milk and eggs).

Uh oh, I better watch out for flames.. ^_^

Which flames are you refering to?
I don't really see anyone flaming him, I know in my post I am agreeing with him.
Perhaps you read something wrong?

Sorry Saitek, in rereading I guess the only real flame is the first response. So I should have said "following post" not "posts" like I did.

My appologies,

No problem, for a second I was thinking I had mis-typed, mis-explained something.

Actually I was suggesting every new skill should grant us a single schematic, each worth twice the exp as the last skill. It could be [Sch] Breakfast, [Sch] Lunch, [Sch] Dinner, [Sch] Dessert and the three trees could be planet-specific cuisine.

Does anyone know if the Farmer class which lasted through much of beta had specific abilities to gather milk and eggs?

How about domestic eopies, have people had luck there? Maybe an eopie might make a good pet for the dessert chef??
