You mean 24.0 vs 24.9999999999?

I believe this is the same as well.

I think that the question is regarding whether 20.01 vs. 24.99 bivoli will do the same buff boost for docs.

there has been discussion about this around here for a bit, but nobody has yet to prove it. If it were true then you could save 5-7 exp points if you knew you were not going to hit 25, which people were saying was a BIG breakpoint in the buff power.

It is by whole number. I proved it to myself at least. I don't have any hard numbers as I saw no reason to keep them.

The test was done with 10.5, 10.7 and 24.5. Using the buff calculator I hit exactly what it told me when I entered in +10 or +24. With 2kish buff there should be at least 1 point of difference between a 24 and 24.5 if it matters.

So if the .5 does actually matter in the calculation to the game it doesn't help anyway, it rounds down somewhere in the calculation and I am guessing it is at the start.

I haven't proved this for all foods but that is my thought at the moment. +84 defence vs KD is the same as 84.9.

There is a difference between 24 and 25. That would just be bad design if the game had built in breakpoints. If 23 was no better than 20 there, there is no reason to believe 23 vs 20 on any stat.

Comments received from a frequent doctor customer: No difference between +24.08 and +24.4.

Difference between +24 and +25? Yes. Resources priced high enough to set your apron on fire.

Did a tester with one of my Doctor Friends.

Made 3 Bivoli: 20.9, 23.98 and 25.96 Stats.

She used an 869 Buff Pack.

Results:

1. 20.9 = 2340 Buff

2. 23.98 = 2370 Buff

3. 25.96 = 2390 Buff

Those all were 3 stacks, lasting 14.9 mins. I forget filling.

What this tells me that I might be a lot better off selling the 20.9 buff stuff as an option and improving the Duration or reduce filling. I could not hit a 4 stack size.

In my opinion this is NOT correct. 20.9 buff Bivoli is easy to make. 25.96 takes uber heavy BE comps, and Uber resources, and 7 or 8 experiment points to hit. There should be a reward for making 25.96 Bivoli, which does not show with these buff results.

Some docs are still going to want 25.96 stuff, but I bet there is a market out there for 20 Bivoli that lasts 20 mins as well.

P.S. For my fellow Chilly Chefs that 25.96 was made with Iski Fungi and Ropi Meat, and the BE comp was 120%

I made some 24.242 and 24.595xxxxx and the results when used were exactly the same. The buff works by whole number, so 24.00 is the same net result as 24.99, but less than 25.00.

25 is the cap on +wound treatment given by chef foods. 25.01 or 25.99 makes no difference over 25.00.The bivoli imakeis +25 and 16m 24s. For a buffing doctor, filling is not importantbecause you are not likely to be stuffed with any other filling foods.

Shaving off a little power for increased duration might help the doctors pocket but does not help the doctor's customer (buffs hit for less). In practice, that small loss of buff power is negligible. However, many doctors will want that edge in buff power. When a player gets a better buff from Doctor A (no matter how small) he/she is likely toseekout Doctor A again. The profit made from buffing is substantial and if that extra power in your buffs swings one or two players your way then that little extra cost in the bivoli has easily paid for itself.

Is this something you have heard or is this from experience?

(By the way, that blue is really hard to read.)

The caphas been verified by the correspondents of the doctor forum (who get their info from the devs). It is not actually possible to verify in practice because bivoli does not stack and I have never been able to break into 26 (I am a master chef too).

I have tested a range of bivoli from low to high 25 andthe buff value does not change. You can test whether or not the game always rounds down (or truncates) by testing a low 24 and a high 24. In my experience, they buff for the same value so I can only surmise that the value is rounded down (truncated) no matter how close you get to the next whole number.

Hello all,

Just a quick question abou this as my alt is a doctor. He has BE enhanced clothes that are capped out to the +25 in clothing for injury and wound treatment. Does this bivoli stack on top of that for an added buff boost?

Thanks to all that answer. The new chef lines are great. I use the brandy and canape on my fighter and the accaragm (sp) for my doctor/musician, and they work wonders. Keep up the good work.
