"No more hotfixes. The dev team is working on a complete re-vamp for Chefs

I will have more information on these and all the professions by Saturday (probably on Saturday). Im going to break out the big changes for all of the Correspondent Aspects and both myself and the Correspondents will be posting some good information...

Can you elaborate? Meaning, do you know and can't tell us, or won't know until Saturday? I'm cool with either, just exciting to see a "complete re-vamp" is on the books.

FYI, post link is on Dev Finder, thanks to PBN for original post that caught TH's eye.

It will happen a LOT sooner than the space expansion.

I get the distinct feeling you want to tell us something, but ...what, aren't allowed? Or just don't want to get our hopes up?

C'mon, is there anything you can share?

Keep in mind, this is partially in jest....but as you can imagine, this is a bombshell imho.

Does that mean the Space Expansion won't be coming out for a couple years.

I think everyone wants this to happen as soon as possible and are itching to see it happen, I just hope it isn't a smokescreen like the last promise of a balance pass - though I have a feeling we are getting it this time.

Well it is saturday night, about 7pm pst. and nothing from Thunderheard. Don't get me wrong I do believe that a remapping of the chefs is coming soon because SirVimes said it is coming, and I believe SirVimes and I trust him.... but Thunderheart.

Thunderheart, I know we arn't the only profession in the game. I know that you are a very busy man and I hope you don't take this post the wrong way, if you find you way to this board or get the message forwarded to you by someone.

I am trying to be constructive here and I am really choosing my words. You said that the chefs are being remapped and that you might have news for us on saturday. Saturday has come and almost gone. Being a chef is frustrating enough with out getting out hopes up and then being left short. If it will take you till tuesday to get back to us they tell us tuesday. I would rather be pleasantly surprised that you were early because you overestimated your time than checking the board every half hour and realize you didn't come through. It undermines you credibility and frustrates the heck out of us, two things neither of us want.

If it is going to take 2 month to have something done then tell us, we are adults, we can take it. It might give some of us a change to explore other professions while chef is being fixed. Please don't tell us that changes are coming and string us along for the next 4 weeks, just let us know how long it will take.

That is my attempt a being constructive.

Yes, but let's not forget we're the second least popular profession in the game.

Of course, maybe there's a REASON for that... How many times have you heard a group leaders standing around the mission terminals shouting "KRAYT HUNTING PARTY FORMING! MEDICS, CHEFS & ENTERTAINERS NEEDED, WE WILL PAY YOU WELL!"

I mean, come on, what hunting party doesn't need a good chef named "Cookie" to serve up fried krayt vittles?

Mmmmm.... fried-up Krayt vittles .... *drools*

Did I mention my goal is to become the very first vegetarian Master Chef?

Btw he said a reVamp lol. I have always wondered where new terms come from in MMOs. Nerf could have been noted for all we know...'We have noted the increased strength of the Shadowknight'...

OMG they nerfed SKs!....uh whats a nerf?

Anyway, with TH and SirVimes saying changes are on the way I believe them. It might take a while since if they do revamp the profession (sounds like redo to me). They will have to look at the current state of the game and start from there figuring out how buffs should fit in. This can be an advantage. All other professions have just been 'hotfixed' since launch. We get a fresh start.

My thoughts anyway

oh man I hope the 200k berries I just pulled up with still be needed hehe.

I read probably on Saturday to mean it might be Saturday or if barring that perhaps Monday or Tuesday. It's coming. Bepatient for just a little longer. We have all been waiting for the fix for months and months. A couple more days won't kill us.....much

Sunday afternoon and no Thunderheart. Now he sais "probably on saturday" andthey had thatimput hopper bug to deal with so I will cut him some slack and not make too big a deal about it.

I just want to hear something, anything -"sorry about saturday, we got busy with the hot fix and couldn't get back to you when I said I would."
