Hey,

Anyone know where we are in teh grand scheme of profession fixing? Right now he is working on DE.... a class that actually has SOMETHING they can sell well... while we are affected by the darn stat bugs with food and drink.

So... how far down teh profession loving list are we, anyone seen any official info?

I started a thread on the SWG Discussion board with the hopes of gaining his attention, since that seems to be the only way anything happens around here. After several days ofbumping the thread, I decided to email Mr. Stangel. He dismissed me out of hand, saying something to the effect of "use your correspondant, I can't be bothered with peons like you." Since our correspondant is excellent, and he gets no attention, I suspect that Fatgit is correct--we're at the bottom.

Just to add on, Driod Engineers were actually working well at some point, where as we have well, never really been operational.

I find it hard to believe that it's a zero-sum game, though--why can't they fix DEs and Chefs? Oh wait, I know, because the only developer that does anything is GreenMarine and he's tasked with 7 professions and player cities (which probably means he picked up an 8th profession as well).

I refuse to prostrate myself before a board moderator just to get my voice heard. I'll write a letter to their stock analysts before I do that.

We should be seeing something from Thunderheart in a day or two... I just submitted something to him and as soon as he is done reviewing it he is going to let you all view it and get a discussion going. At least I believe that is the plan.

Keep in mind, all Thunderheart is a mouthpiece. No disrespect from him, but he just tells us what the developers want him to tell us. Right now the DE developer is working hard on the profession, which is why Thunderheart has a lot of stuff to share. Our developer, who is not the DE developer, is pretty busy. As soon as things slow down for him (Please! Please! let that be soon) we should see more activitey on our profession.

Just a matter of time.

Nice to hear something Sir Vimes . And yes, DE modules really are quite broken (except for medical modules - yea, one sellable product for a Novice DE-I will be there forever....). Chef is most definitely the worst off, but DEs are in desperate need of help too........And I certainly won't be unhappy to see the BEs get some help with their cloning line either (even though I don't happen to play one). Any fix to a broken profession is a good fix , but chef Is long overdue .

Just read this. Maybe...maybe... it is a step in the right direction.

I will. I will most likely bring the BE correspondent online tomorrow and it is my goal to work through all of the professions next week...

Hopefully, you're right Vimes. I know that you know a bunch more than you choose/are allowed to tell us...

I just can't stop thinking about the last time that they decided to start up a lively discussion, immediately after the submission of our first Correspondent report. The response to that Correspondent report (waaay back in August) is the last post by a "red" on these boards

They have bigger problems then chefs cancelling. Really huge amounts of subscribers are canceling their accounts. Thats what holocrons are for. They wont look at chef until 1. the game is in profit zone safely 2. all other professions that mean money have their love.
