Beacuse its gonna take one heck(edited) of a flame to get chefs dealt with at all.

BURN IN HECK(edited)... We will send you some useless food for your eternal stay.

ok... so what are you going to do about this latest complete passover by the devs?

Hey now...

Vass isn't the problem...

Please direct flames at Q, and whomever it is that is supposed to be working on our class.

- Sembel Ritari, Master Chef - Bloodfin Server
-edit- Would be master chef that is. Apparently the devs don't really care about fixing the fact that our products are pretty well broken.

So I guess that should read..

I want to talk to the person who designed chefs and is in charge of them. Its not like hes doing anything useful with his time(like fixing us) So show your face and talk to us!

Maybe the chef designer is also in charge of DEs and SLs (they've gotten a lot of nerfing/no love too)? We should post a link to the chef boards on a thread in the discussion boards, just so that the devs know where we are.

I think the small chef uprising recently has maybe gotten the devs attention (there goes that optimism again!)

SirVimes, can you comment on anything about rebalancing schematics or branches? Has thedesigner said anything you could leak to us? What is the designer handle so we can call him something other than "designer".

I would have thought so too, but not ONE word was said about chefs, not ONE. The best we got was on the patch notes was a little blurb about fixing of food, and in " the state of the game post" holo said in reference to the food bug - yah the correspondent told us about it. He doesn't even tell us they're fixing it, or that they even care it was broken in the first place.
BEs are getting fixed, there is talk about fixing SL but still no talk about chefs. Its like its taboo to say the word chef. Check holo and Q-3POs posts, almost every time they have said the word chef (all like 9 times) it was just a reference to the chef correspondent.

Hmm this is like my 4th rant today.... guess the stress must finaly be getting to me.

Sigh...I am in a weird place right now.

I am talking with the developer of the chef class directly. And we are having good conversations about the chef class in general. He has good ideas about the chef class, and is very enthusiastic about the class in general. For various reasons, the going is extremely slow. I am frusterated as you about that...

And I am sorry I cannot give you more information. By talking to a representative they get a clearer idea about what is going on ingame. Some of the things, however, are just ideas right now and they are worried that revealing them to the board at large, too many people would take them as promises and be upset if they don't happen right away. It has happened in the past.

I am going to talk to Q and see if I can get you some more details about where we stand. There is hope for us, and we are not being ignored. Things are just happening slowly....and that is extremely frusterating.

Oh, and as for Vass....his job is to take the developers work and turn them into patches for the servers and clients. If the developers don't give him anything to turn into patches, it's not his fault.

just tell them that they are loosing a customers base here.

if theys would increase buff time eg by 5 ... chef would have a place until the slow going is done

My main question is why can't he just go into the database and double all the chef's food stats? Simple, not to unbalancing, and should keep us happy until they do a real fix.

Also can you ask him to post here a little bit, just so we know he's real

I am telling all the developers that....and that chefs are loosing patience fast!

Sorry, losing patience is too much an understatement. I think it is fair to say we have LOST patience. To let a profession-killing bug (the food stacks item) go unfixed for more than four weeks is utterly ridiculous. Then the insult-to-injury situation of enhancing entertainers' buffs when foods are still crippled...

My foolish optimism is actually stemming from the angry chef rampage (me included!) that has been the last 2 or 3 days...we'll see i guess.
