The Great Chili Cook off and Food Fair

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the Great Chili Cook off and Food Fair being held on the Radiant server on Naboo in the great (and neutral) city of Eden’s Grief. The Food Fair will take place on Sunday December 21and it is an all day event. The Awards ceremony for the Cook off will be held in the Eden’s Grief City Hall at 9pm EST.

The Eden’s Grief Food Fair

We welcome all chefs to the Eden’s Grief food fair to introduce the public to the wonders of food. There are a lot of players who don’t know how food works. This is a good opportunity for us chefs to introduce them to food and general and some of those little known schematics that some people may not have seen.

Any chefs wishing to participate in the food fair are welcome to show of all their hard work and any signature dishes that they have made. Vendors will be provided for any Chef who wish to advertise and sell their food on the day of the food fair.

This is a good place for Bio Engineers to introduce the wonders of Bio Enhancements with the chef community.

The Great Chili Cook off

4 Divisions, 13 Individual Food Items and over 1 million credits in prizes. Anyone placing in any of the events will get a commemorative trophy marking their standing in the competition to display in their home or store.

The Rules:

All entries will be given to me, Kalos or be placed in a travel pack labelled "Great Chili Cook off Entries" with your name and offered to my vendor west of Theed at the low price of 1 credit. (Way point -6627 4371) All entries must be in by Friday night and the awards will be handed out on Sunday at the Eden’s Grief town hall. This allows all chefs, no matter what time zone they are in to compete.




I would prefer that bio enhancements not be used, but seeing as there is now way for me to stop people from using them I have no choice but to allow them. So I give fair warning to all chefs that anything using Sypro and Pastebread that Bio Enhancements can be used. Only the standard buffs from the food will be used. (For example only the Focus buff will be counted from Corellian Fried Ice-cream) There is also a city specialization that allows +15% to experimenting. I don’t know if any cities have this in place but it would be well worth looking into.




In the event of a tie in judging (the total calculated standard buffs are the same) judging will go to the duration of the buffs, if those are identical then judging will move to the number of uses in the stack.




The crafter of the food will be the Chef competing, no making food for you friends to enter. All entries by any contestant must be made same Chef. Chef’s will only be permitted to enter once.




Be creative (but clean) with the naming of your food, sometimes the best thing about food is the names people give it.

The First Division: The Great Chili Cook off.

Ah the Great Chili Cook off. The Judging will be on the highest total buffs of all the food entries. First place will take home 25k credits and a Heavy Floral Harvester, Second Place will win 15k and a Food and Chemical Factory, Third place wins 10k credits and a Protocol Food Crafting Droid. The Second Division: Rikarian Burn out Sauce Debacle

This one is a little different. Rikarian Burn out Sauce has a really bad Focus buff, your goal will be to see low you can get it through a combination of bad ingredients and critical failures Only the focus will be taken into account in the judging, if this results in a tie the judging will move to the total lowest duration of the focus buff, and then lowest number of uses in the stack.

First Place winner gets 20k credits and a Heavy Natural Gas Harvester, Second Place winner gets 10k credits and 20k units of Reactive Gas.

The Third Division: The Sweet Heart Challenge

In this event chefs will be challenged on their dessert making abilities with 4 different dishes. These will be judged on total buffs of all entries. As with the Chili cook off this event will focus on the total buffs of the food entries. First place will be awarded 35k credits and a Heavy Floral Harvester, Second Place will take home 25k credits and a Food and Chemical Factory, and third place will win 15k credits and a protocol food crafting droid. The Fourth Division: The Master Chef Challenge

Probably the most challenging of all the events is the Master Chef Challenge. For this contest you will be required to make 5 Master Chef dishes including

Angerian Fishak Surprise

Breath of Heaven

Flameout

Thakitillo

and Vercupti of Agazza Boleruuee.

These entries will be judged on the total buffs of all the food entries.

First Place wins 100k credits, and a Heavy Fusion-Ion Generator, Second Place wins 50k credits and a Food and Chemical Factory, Third Place wins 25k and a protocol food crafting droid.

Very cool shame im on the wrong server. You should let Pax (the player event guy) know about this. An artisan player event is a cool idea.

I will be sure to enter, and let Mennet know about this in case he has not seen it yet. I am sure he will enter as well.. As a master chef, I will /tiphat to Mennet as a good chef, and a good person. But, in the spirit of competition, Mennet - I am gonna do my best to beat you my friend

What I was saying in the rules is that if 2 people come up to me with their food entries and all the food entries for both contestants have been made by KrazyMONK then only KrazyMONK will be entered in the contest, basically you can only enter your food. All entries must be made by the same persons.

Well Skye you are in luck. I know that chefs are a small number of crafters spread across many time zones so to make sure I could include as many chefs as possible all the entries are going to be made before the firday and handed in to me, the event on Sunday is just the awards ceremony after I do all the judging on Saturday

Ok.. If a Chef uses a food that was factory run, then they better make sure they own the factory Otherwise who ever owned the factory will be the creator of the object - or that is the way it has been lately

Above and beyond the factory owner issue, in the last week I have been noticing that whoever pops a stack from a crate is listed as the creator on that stack. I popped a cargo pocket from a crate I bought and it said I made it...I also have someone that buys my stuff and resells it..when I stopped by his vendor, it showed he made all my food *pouts*

well...that explains how I made all that medicine. :/

I have had that happen to, I sold some crates of booze to a cantina owner and in the vendor it said that all the stuff was created by him

Guess you guys will have to make all your entries by hand Luckily there are only 13 items.
