The Merchant's Friend, The Merchant's Friend, The Merchant's Friend!! It's the tool I use the most, and makes tracking sales a breeze. Speaking of which, is there a place where we can send suggestions to the creator for future versions? Being able to archive by month (or being able to select which items you'd like archived instead of just adding in everything to date) and see a daily/weekly/monthly sales average would be great new features.

Yeah, it gives me a good idea of which items sell the best, the most, the fastest and bring in the most revenue. It also gives me a chance to look at who all my repeat customers are so that I can periodically give them things on the house. In addition, there's a built in customer list that you can copy/paste so you can send mass e-mails very easily. The program came in handy when I was still trying to recoup the money I spent to pick up the profession, since I could /mailsave every day and watch the progress.
I'm much less concerned with tracking the sales now that the business is pretty well established, but I do check every week to 2 weeks to make sure I'm still hitting my average.

Since it's been many months since last update, it is very unlikely that there is going to be anymore updates

Ok, I'm in the process of re-doing the sticky thread (there have been quite a few updates, changes, etc since last year when I did it). I'm going to try to get that finished up by this Friday or Saturday.
What I'm wondering from you guys is this:
What links (either in the official forums or external sites) do you personally use for your daily cheffing?
Everything in the current sticky thread (although some link updates will be done) andstuff I've written (since I'm an arrogant b@stard
)is already going to be considered so don't worry about suggesting those.
Some examples of what I'm looking for:
- Guides on crafting/experimenting/etc.
- web calculators (I'm going to make sure to link to the BE tissue calculator)
- Other tools
- Reference sites
And these should be from both sides of the business, both for the chef crafting the food and the customer with questions about food.
Also, do you think "fun threads" like egb/'''ghhnm;/ are appropiate for a "Read This" sticky? If so, post suggestions for those as well.

I know this is off topic but your post count is 4999 almost 5k grats.
As for the guide I think just the updated stuff I don't really use anything but what you have done and the faq.

There are quite a few of these mail programs cropping up now. One of the newer (and most updated) right now is SWG Sales Manager

If you have suggestions, please provide a link. I've heard of the Merchants friend, but never used it.
FYI, here's what I've got so far:
Food Reference:
- www.swgcraft.com (of course)
- Chef FAQ
- Food chart 1 (by skill box)
- Food chart 2 (by buff type)
- Bugged foods
Crafting Reference:
- Estei's guide to experimentation. Some parts are specific to armorsmith, but a lot of good info on how resource stats affect experimentation.
- Resource stat caps
Chef Tools:
- My tools spreadsheet
- Bihlbo's price calculator
- Tyfo's Price calculator
- Sloejack's update to Jenner's update of Fooman's crafting tool.
{note: this is an awesome tool for picking just the right resources to use in a given schematic. I usually have excel open wiht this and my food calc tool tiled, get the resources from this one, plug the stats into mine, and figure out what the result's going to be} - Merchant's friend (link?)
- SWG sales manager
Customer Tools:
- Buff planner, with explanatory post

I think if I get a chance here I will (or someone else can) give a little write up on the BE tissues used by chefs. Like what you can use to make them so you don't sound like an idiot when you to to a BE for a schem.
Might want to add in the BE tissue calc web link too?

http://www.geocities.com/illiya_darklight/ is the link for The Merchant's Friend.
Can't remember how to make a clicky, so won't do that.
