Equivalent, rather than better, being the key word.
We should have better buffs than the old Fishak, Ryshcate and Pate.
(Are my eyes deceiveing me, or do I see 3 min buffs that are 80+% filling????)
Thanks for the good work Ezran. Not meaning to be sour grapes on your good work.

That's right, +300ish for 3 minutes. I have some problems with that too. I'm not really sure of the DEVS definition of balance, bu tI'm going to post that somewhere else so it doesn't get lost.

That's what I've seen so far. Stat buffs stack with either the same food or multiples, skill buffs can only have one of each type. Although it does look like you can have buffs to multiple skills (+terrain and +defense vs. Dizzy, for example). I'm not sure about the +resists, I haven't gotten entrees yet.

I still don't have master chef (~250 AP to go) but here's an almost complete list of the new chef food buffs without master.
There are 4 experimentation bars now:
- Experimental Fill affects filling of food/drink
- Experimental Flavor affects the duration
- Experimental Nutrition affects the amount of the buff
- Experimental Quantity affects number of uses
I have included the final experimented percentages, so you can get an idea of how good the buff could be.

I wonder how good of buff this could become with good resources, BE components, and experimenting on nutrition. I dont know, but it looks like it has the potential to be an awesome mind buff...

Awesome?
I was really excited about the Chef revamp, but to tell you the truth it looks to me like food and drink has gone from being pretty useful to be a very limited niche market. Crafters will appreciate the new Pyollian Cake and Bespin Port (it was nice of the developers to have these effects not both be food or both be drink). Dancers will like T'ssolok, at least if the effect improves a fair amount with good resources. But for general use? I don't think any of these appeal.
The only large buffs last for 3 minutes and fill you for an hour, and their size, downtime, and duration all compare very disfavorably with spice or doctor/dancer buffs. The smaller buffs have impressive durations, but it seems to work out that you can pick a single pool or subattribute and buff it by about 200 permanently... hardly worth the trouble. I can't see myself using any of these buffs while hunting (I'm a chef/commando... I BBQ on the run). The only foods that appear useful to me are Blue Milk as an emergency heal and... well... that's it. Compare that to the high utility of the current BoH/fishak/GGP offerings and I really would've preferred the developers had not spend so much time "improving" our profession. Item by item, these bonuses mostly seem to show the Devs are out of touch with their own skill and combat systems. With double durations and halved filling, most of these items would still not see use.

I'm really new to chef, but I see some things in that list that could have some real time improvments I'm sure once you get som exp and quality resources on them. Plus we haven't seen the stats on anything needing milk yet. The brandy at least will be a good seller once you work on it.
