I just made my first run of Fishak...

+550 Mind

-22 Stamina

Aprox 13 minutes

How does this compare with what you generally see?

How much does this routinely sell for on your server (assuming crates of 25)?

Also... i couldnt see any way to tell how many uses each one would be during the experimentation.. can anyone tell me?

Its good fishak, but its probably your first and last one. Its gone soon.

60-80k a crate is average price on it, on some inflated servers you can get more.

+550 mind, -22 stamina for 13 min are not too bad. I'd say it was average. Mine are usually around +470, -60 for 13 min (9 uses) because I've been stuck with crappy Reactive Gas (only 300 OQ). The best I've seen is +580 Mind, +1 Stamina for 13 min with only 7 uses.

It sells for about 250-300 per use in the stack on my server. 50K crates of 25 will sell very easily; 60K crate sell more slowly.

For uses - do a couple of experimentations to see what the "breaking point" is for the various usages. For example - if at 34% you have 7 uses, 35-42% = 8 uses and 43%-50% 9 uses. Then when you're making your manufacturing schematic, just look at the percentages to gague how many uses your product will have.

However, the patch will (apparnetly) list the number of uses, and your old fishak will no longer be in your regular schematics...

Ouch either my server is quite low comparitivly in what crates of fishak go for, or I'm charging a lot less then I should.

I always used banthamart.com to check pricing (they are also on my server) and they have fishak going for 25k a crate, so I charge somewhere between 25-30 normally. Only thing I charge 60k+ for is BoH.

Am I just super underselling here (cause I don't want to be THAT guy )

Mine are generally around 575 with at most -6 staminaand 8 usages.I sold about 25 crates of fishak last friday in about 4-5 hours at 70k. Yeah that was a record, but to be quite honest, I dont think I would make any profit on fishak at 25k a crate considering factory times. If the chef revamp wasnt coming soon, and I had to sell fishak at 25-30k a crate I would forget fishak and concentrate on GGP. That stuff sells out faster than I can put it up and I sell it for 75k a crate, with stats of around 440M and F with 3-4 usages. Oh man is the dom meat crappy.

It depends on your server, and also how much time you want to put into your vendor. On Corbantis, chefs who specialize in two or three things (say, breath of heaven, ryshcate, and fishak) and only stock those three things typically sell for 25k-30k a crate. Those who stock everything charge considerably more.

Do most people buy their resources?

Luckily my I'm master arch to so I have tons of really nice harvs that keep my costs low but I'm still not understanding the not making a profit comment. (I'm not trying to start a fight just trying to understand the economy in this game, so I can quit being the lowballer )

Okay Fishak takes 126 resources total that aren't very specific. My cost is under .2 cpubut for this example I'll say it cost me .5.

I'll plan to make the biggest run possible 19 crates (cause saying you only do one experiment you end up one short of the 20th stack).

500 fishak resource wise is 63k total resources. So 31.5k credits

You need to make 3 fact runs, and since swgcraft doesn't have complexity for aludium and fishak I'll just say 30 becuae I know it's less then that. Carb is 3.

Carb run 3 *8 * 500 = 12000

aludium 30 * 8 * 1000 = 240000

fishak 30 *8 * 500 =120000

Cost for factory is 60 creds and 50 power and hour, power I put at a cost of .5 also to say 85 cph of fact time.

That ends up beinga little over 100 hours of fact time, so 8500 is cost to run fact in that time.

Okay so we add this up and come up with total cost of about 40k.

Now I have 19 crates. If I sell them for 25k a piece that will get me 475k total.

Profit 435k.

To me I look at this as great, but I come from the architect field where everything has been lowballed to non-profitablility.

Am I missing something profit wise. I know if demand will pay more then put it up for more but it's hard to see what others are charging for food when most vendors sell out so quickly, when I even find them at all.

Sorry about not being fully aware of the economy here.

Good breakdown.

Here is the clencher though. well two really.

1. Raw Resource cost.

While you have access to heavey harvesters and the like because you are a Master Arch most chefs dont. They have to purchase them. (added cost in and of itself), and if you look at the resource market you will realize that the actual worth of those quality resources is above your harvest costs.

If you can harvest say +900 oq grain and sell it on the market for 6 credits per unit straight out of the ground why would you go through all the trouble to take 100 factory hours to convert it into a Fishak and sell the same resource at .2 cpu?

Keep in mind some lot deprived Chefs have to purchase these resources at 6 cpu or higher up front.

2. Time

This is a judgement call really. It took you at least 100 hours of your time to create that fishak, boh whatever. What was all that effort worth? Making sure you had the best ingredients, going that extra mile to get +20 experimentation tapes, Vendor costs, Cost of maintaining your storage house and storefront the 30 minutes and wasted resources you used to create that "perfect" schematic.

These also have to be taken into account when pricing your goods. That and as you mentioned supply and demand.

Im sure others will throw in some input.

I have a hard time coming up with standard pricing on corbantis. I mostly supply food to my PA only and only do special orders. I'm in a 60 or so something person PA and it's enough to keep up with that demand.

That said, when I get a request for a crate of Fishak I tell them 45k. I get about two reactions equally when I name my price "wow, that's cheap' and 'no thanks you charge too much'.

My last batch was +560mind for around 700s (can't remember exactly) and 8 charges per stack
