The Mandalorian Wine Report

Mandalorian Wine affects the following stats: Constitution, Stamina and Willpower

Greetings,

I had been searching for a Mandalorian Wine schematic since they first were rumored to appear several weeks ago. Up until a few days ago, I had given up hope on acquiring one as the only known schematics had been on 2 other servers… and a rumored one on Eclipse.

As a last attempt to find one, I sent out an e-mail to all my customers and friends in SWG. Ten minutes later, I received a tell from a person with the only known schematic on Eclipse (now there are a couple floating around). Thirty minutes later, he was a richer person and I had my Mandalorian Wine schematic. This goes to show that it really does helps to keep contact with all of your customers and reinforces my belief on that.It helps with business (because they keep cleaning me out of food and drinks) and helps when I am in need of something like resources.

Anyhow, as I was out of Casks, I had to do some factory prepping before I could make any samples and experiment. Luckily, a “somewhat good” shift of Wild Rice on Rori (Llobe DR=403, FL=686, PE=653, OQ=987) had just spawned a few days earlier, so I jumped on that while waiting for Casks to get done (Trim was done, I just forgot to do the Casks portion of the factory run.) I also started a few batches of Alcohol since this stuff requires LOTS of it.

For this experiment and production run, I’ll be using the following:

  • My Chef Outfit (for my 2 bonus points)

  • Bespin Port (+10)

  • Pyollian Cake (+14)

  • (+43.3)Food / Chem work station

  • 3 identical Alcohol (crated) (alchv1.0)

  • 3 identical Alcohol (crated) (alchv1.1)

  • 15 Fruit (Lok - Berry Fruit = Ilcesi, DR=793 FL=863 PE=859 OQ=973)

  • 15 Wild Rice (Rori - Wild Rice = Llobe, DR= 403 FL=686, PE=653, OQ=987)

  • 1 Cask

  • 1 (+118) Heavy Additive

Sample Batches 1-10 and several schematics later…

I won’t bore you people with screen shots and whatnot for each step, so I’ll cut to the results. I made 10 different samples with the resources listed above…trying for the hard to get Amazings. (Yes, the schematic is PERMANENT. I did several samples and created 5 different 1000 item schematics.)

For Nutrition, I managed to cap at +1220pwr/67filling/6each/8min42sec using the stuff listed above.

For Filling, I managed to cap at +1035pwr/55filling/6each/8min18sec using the stuff listed above.

I have good resources, but apparently not good enough to get close to the 49/50 filling for double buffing. With the resources I have, it simply is not possible. Basically, I'll be looking for very good Wild Rice now . And, pray for more Amazings...

I have some other Wild Rice I tried, but it only got it to 52 filling, but droped the quantity to 3 (as opposed the the 6 from the stuff above). So I decided not to bother even testing with that... simply becuase it kept capped at 52 and had 1/2 the quantity. *shrug*

If consumer demand for Mandolorian Wine is high, these will probably go very quickly, but my guess is initial demand will be for the WOW factor and display purposes…then after the combat rebalance there is potential for a larger demand. (I also heard a rumor Doc Buffs where getting nerfed?! Has anyone here heard that too?)

The only thing left I need to do is figure out is which batch to focus on making and what the pricing for this stuff should be.

Do you folks have suggestions on which the general population may be more attracted to and pricing?

Thanks for you interest in this message. It has taken me a few days to put his information together. I hope this was useful to anyone who had questions about Mandolorian Wine and the process it takes to make it.

yeah, combat pass will change many things, and I see a market opening up for more Chef buffs, what those foods will be we'll have to wait and see... but one things quite likely...

I reckon they're goint to lower the stats on brandy and canapes too...

I am also a chef on eclipse - I wanted to get mandalorian myself except i didnt realise quite how rare it was - plus i was away when an auction was made on tyrade forum

Anyways I would suggest you use the current shift dantooine wild rice and srinaoake dant berries if you can use berries as fruit in this slot. Both of these have 900 to oq and dr so you may be able to get filling down to 50.

Whoa! How did I miss that Wild Rice?! So, I jumped on it, got enough to do some testing...and came up with this (thanks for the heads up!)

Double Buff Mandalorian Wine!

+1002 power / 49 filling / 3 each / 7m 30s

But what should I charge for this? I would guess it would be as much (or slightly more) like the double buff Vercupti. So I would guess 400-500k a crate of 25. Is this what you all figure too? It takes soo much to make it in resources and 1 full run only yields 330 units (if you use 2 different batches of alcohol for your 1 run)

Now, the quantity dropped to 3 (from 6 with the other Wild Rice. And the duration dropped a little, but with the Cesi - Dantooine Wild Rice DR=993 FL=919 PE=215 OQ=928, I was able to squeek out 49 filling.

Soooo what this means is...

You could take a 49 filling Brandy, a 49 filling Mandalorian Wine for your "Drinks" and either 3 33 filling Canapes for your "food"..or a 66 filling Vercupti and a 33 filling Canape.

Not too bad..especially if there are changes with buffs with the combat revamp.

As I get more info with different resources, I'll post back here.

Thanks again!

here's a dumb question perhaps, what does buffing these secondary stats do? its only one from health, one from action, and one from mind, Are these the regen stats for the HAM bars. i never really thought about it as im always buffed etc.

I've been told you can get it at the Death Watch Bunker as a random drop loot item .... someplace. No idea where...and as a Chef, I dare not enter the place! And as best as I can tell, there are only a couple floating around on my server (Eclipse) and the other servers as well.

Not sure why it is sooooo rare and what the Dev's plans are with regards to this.

You know, I was wondering why as well. These are the regen stats for each main stat. Its a short buff for them too, but if built right, you can make it a double buff...like the Vercupti (it buffs Health, Action, Mind for a short period too). The difference between these are 1 is a food (Vercupti) and 1 is a drink (Mandalorian Wine).

I've heard rumors that the Dr buffs are going to be 'adjusted'. I have yet to see anything posted (maybe I just have not found the right thread), but have been told by a few people in game this rumor.

Now if this rumor is in anyway true... it would suck for Doctors and the rest of us who depend on 3.5 hour buffs. But if this food is the Dev's attempt to rebalance something after they do this rumored 'adjustment' to Dr. buffs (man I wish I could find a thread on this...)..then maybe this food will be in demand.

As it stands now, you could take the following food (as an example combination)

Drinks
49 filling Mandalorian Wine (Constitution, Stamina, Willpower)
49 filling V. Brandy (Mind, Focus, Willpower)

Foods
49filling Vercupti (Health, Action, Mind)
33 filliing V. Canapes (Focus, Willpower)

Now you could substitute the Vercupti out for 2more 33 filling V Canapes if you wanted.

The other interestingissue this brings up is that maybe Master BE Filling sub-comps will become more popular (currently all the Chefs I know use the Nutrient sub-comps for power). Just a thought, I'd have to play around to see how this affects all the various foods I deal with.

Hope this helps and if any Chefs out there have comments, please share.
