If I'm not mistaken, it's the stack size thats affected... I might be wrong tho.

Each different container gives a modifier to the quantity of a stack. As of this posting:

Small Glass: 1x Quantity
Large Glass: 1.5x Quantity
Cask: 3x Quantity
Barrel: ?? (Possibly bugged)

So a crate of casked drinks will give you 3x more uses than a crate of Small Glass drinks.

No kidding Nikii. My stance on containers hasn't changed since the revamp appeared. I don't plan on making anything except small glasses, and charging per use.

This may be a bit better but not sure. This is solely my opinion.

small glass 1x

large glass 3x

cask 5x

barrel 10x

This would ease things up a bit and customers would think twice about whether or not they will want to use barrels now. To them, for some rare BE stuff, it will well be worth it (and for us as well, but this abou the customers right :smileywink. Any other numbers people have been messing around with?

I think those numbers are a bit too high. There is definatly not a huge demand for the casks or barrels right now because of the resource cost. I expect to use the higher ones for things with BE tissues. Using a Cask will make each tissue basically 3. Thatis just a trade off between meat and harvestor resources which I would do anyday.

I just don't want a barrel to be extremely high that everyone will just use barrels.

What's wrong with just using barrels? Once Doctors get advanced components, you don't see many using the basic anymore. In the current system, once you get aludium, you don't use alcohol anymore.

Actually, with those numbers PSK, I'd definitely consider using the larger containers. In fact, I'd probably use a mixture, depending on my resource stockpile, and mood

I would love to use barrels if they were really worth it. The reason docs use herb meat (even if it is a much rare resource that its less useful sub component) is because it is worth it. However currently barrels are not really worth it. With these numbers, it will make chefs think twice about whether they will use barrels or not. Right now, I dont know too many people who will be using barrels, casks, or even large glasses. The argument Ezran posted is exactly my point. Alot of people make med components without Advanced Chemical Release Duraction Mechanisms at a cheaper rate for the medic on a budget. But the ACRDM are worth it. Barrels cost 30x the base resources along with sub components for 5x the quantity. It is hardly worth it.

Cask 150 crystaline gem 2 trim(10inert petro-40fiberplast). If that makes my brandys 21 charges instead of 7. Ill be using that for sure. With 8-10 good harvesters, you can mine a million units in less than a week on a decent spot. Will cut down on schematic size since you'll only be able to make 500 because of the 2 trim required. 75k gems, 5k inert petro, 10k fiberplast for 500 components that will triple your charges? You will be using alot less of your good flora, imo thats a thing to be avoided if you can, these containers let you do that.

That's the truth. While many of us don't have a second account, I know one master chef in my town (who has a Master Bio Engineer account as well) who has resourcess coming out of his ... um... ears... so the resource cost of Barrells is nothing to him. He's filthy rich from creature sales and being able to do uber missions with his Master CH skills (the BE is a MCH as well) so he'll sell them for what he can get.

For those people with easy access to resources, 100,000 isn't a problem for a big-time factory run.

So what about those of us who cant afford two accounts GalinHawk? I didnt see it say anywhere when I bought/registered this game "you must purchase and maintain two accounts to be an effective crafter".

Barrels will be useful for drinks that use BE enhancements or rare resources. Why would anyone use a glass for Blue Milk or enhanced BoH? The resource cost of the other ingridents is greater than that of the barrel. Note these drinks will be insanely expensive and not usuable on a everyday basis by most people. For the special occasions like a PvP tourament, I see these being used. It is a nitch market.

For the resource challenged, there will still be the need for normal food at a lower price point for everyday use. This will be about 80-90% of the market in my opinion and the single account, non-BE aligned chef will still very much be in business. Having two accounts is a huge advantage in this game, that can't be denied. You get 20 lots and 500 skill points. If you have 2 computers you can even hunt with both and double harvest animals. The same can be said for those with 3 or 4 accounts. Still the game can be played successfully with just the one account, you just have to set your sites on a level that you can manage given what you have to work with.
