The CSRs have been updating the knowledgebase for all professions including Chef. It can be accessed through
in game with the following steps:

Open your Holocron (CTL H with the default keymap)

Locate and click on the Customer Service button

You are now presented with the Knowledge Base. You can either search byquestion or by a specific KB entry ID (if you know one)

or through the following link:

If you have a chance please peruse the knowledge database and see if you can find any mistakes. Then you can laugh at the CSRs, erm, I mean help them help other chefs.

Isn't anybody going to test this out?

I went through it and they dont do a very good job at explaining things so I just gave them some suggestions on what would be clearer or extra information that can clear up future questions.

Here is the solution: Star Wars Galaxies: Will the new Chef Foods be able to stack with each other provided there is enough stomach room?

Only foods that enhance statistics such as base HAM values and secondary statistics will stack with each other. Food and drink items that provide skill modifiers or otherwise unattainable bonuses will not stack with each other, but they will stack with skill enhancing items.

Here is the problem or goal:

Will the new Chef Foods be able to stack with each other provided there is enough stomach room?
Proposed new form:

Only foods that enhance Health, Strength, Constitution, Action, Quickness, Stamina, Mind, Focus or Willpower will stack with each other. Other food bonuses will not stack with each other, but they will stack with skill enhancing items.

Proposed solution: For Pete's sakes, don't hire Visual Basic / VBScript / ECMAScript coders to create your customer support web site. It's important that it works!

Mikael,

I have been told to tell you that they have made the changes you suggested, and you get a gold star from the CSRs.

Well, either I can't find a way to get more results returned, or there's only 10 topics with "food" in them.

I submitted a comment on the chef xp vs. artisan xp (basically suggesting they specify that the "more advanced foods" are ones learned from chef skills). Also, I think the stomach digestion time needs to be an included topic.

I'm still getting run-time errors

I blame Microsoft more than anybody else though because I've been getting these a lot more since the last few IE6 patches...

Thank you for kicking off this post SirVimes. The Knowledge Base in game is quickly growing to cover more and more topics and provide the most accurate information possible. On a daily basis entries are published to the Knowledge Base and any errors that are located are fixed and published.fficeffice" />

The exciting thing about the Knowledge Base is that the response time for the entries can be so swift. If you locate an error in the Knowledge Base and bring it to your correspondent we can fix it and have the corrected version in game within hours or even minutes of receiving that information. Any gaps in the Knowledge Base can also be quickly filled.

I’ve asked your correspondent to start a thread like this for two reasons. First the Knowledge Base is very important to us, but right now it is under utilized. I’m working with the Correspondents and the Developers to increase awareness for the Knowledge Base. Soon we’ll be changing some things in game to make the Knowledge Base a lot more visible.

That brings me to my second reason for coming to you – information that is as complete and accurate as possible. When the Knowledge Base becomes more prominent it will be vital for it to be as complete and accurate as possible. We have been working internally and with the Correspondent program to comb the Knowledge Base and add new entries. We would really appreciate it if you could point out anything that you find to be in error, out dated, or simply missing. If you think a question needs to be asked that’s not here please post it, or send it directly to your correspondent. We’ll work to get as many into the Knowledge Base as we can.

Thank you for your support and we really hope that you find the Knowledge Base to be a useful source of information. Please keep in mind that the Knowledge Base is intended to provide information about systems and policies but will not provide direct spoilers.

For quick answers to many game play questions, you may want to first reference the knowledge base located in the Holocron Menu. You can do so by selecting the customer service option and then using the knowledge base tab. We have recently added hundreds of new FAQs and answers and more will be added more daily, so give it a try!

A systemic proposal: when possible, add information on from which point of time to which point of time a certain item is valid. Most of the chef articles, for example, are valid from publish 6 (date X) onwards, and when they refer to "old" food, it means food crafted before the day publish 6 went in.

This will help maintain confidence in the information, and in the CSRs.

It would be most helpful if we could limit the returns only to SWG. (This may happen if you get into the KB ingame, I'm at work, and can't try it.) Or if there was a more helpful interface to explain what some of your different options are... like relevant information! (Which you can use, it appears, to limit things to SWG, at least on the machine I'm using right now..) In general, I don't like the user interface for the KB. It's not intuitive, and it's making my head hurt! Also, is there a way to browse through multiple topics? If you look up CHEF, you'll pull 7 entries. I'd hope there are more entries, and if not, it'd be nice if we could track what's already there, so we could tell what needs to be added.

In game you will only see the Star Wars Galaxies solutions. If you use the web version I suggest first searching for "Star Wars Galaxies" then leaving that option checked for your future searches. This should help you refine your search.

I believe there are about 7 Chef solutions currently. Please point out any topics that are not covered by those 7.
