Aya'ti on TC was nice enough to make me 2 of each light and medium BE enhancer to test on food (Although messed up a couple, oops). Here is the complete info, in all of its glory.
BE Additives: Located in the Tissues line of BE, there are 12 total additives. Light, medium and heavy of each of the 4 experimental type (Filling, Flavor, Nutrition, Quantity)
Here's an ingredient list:
Light
Carboreductive Catalyst - mass - 20 organic, 20 Domesitcated Meat, 20 Wild Meat
Hyper Yeast Additive - replicating - 20 Organic, 20 Cereal, 20 Wild Meat
Micronutrient Supplement - nutritional - 20 Organic, 15 Flora Food, 15 Creature Food
Multisaccharide Dimate - flavor - 20 Organic, 20 Milk, 25 Flora Food
Medium
Broad-Spectrum Nutrients - nutritional - 35 Organic, 25 Flora Food, 20 Creature Food
Caloric Conversion Supplement - mass - 35 Seeds, 30 Domesticated Meat, 35 Wild
Hyper Yeast Concentrate - replicating - 25 Organic, 20 Cereal, 20 Wild Meat
Multisaccharide Tetramate - flavor - 35 Seeds, 30 milk, 30 Flora Food
Heavy
Carbocaloric Eliminator - mass - 35 Fruit, 40 Domesticated Meat, 45 Wild Meat
Edible Nano Constructors - replicating - 25 Vegetables, 40 Cereal, 30 Wild Meat
Intelligent Nanonutrients - nutritional - 55 Organic, 35 Flora, 20 Creature
Multisaccharide Pentamate - flavor - 35 Berries, 40 Milk, 45 Flora Food
When you get the enhancers, they come in all those funky named containers. Each one lists the amount of enhancement to a certain experimental bar. At this point you have to put them into food additives.
There are 3 food additives, light at Dom4, medium at novice Chef, Heavy at Master. They require only an enhancer and water (more for larger enhancers). Each additive will only take the enhancer of equal size (Light-light, medium-medium, heavy-heavy). The quality of water does not matter, and there is no experimentation on additives. Once you've completed that, you get an additive, with the same enhancement as the original enhancer. Now you're ready to put it in the food.
Each food/drink recipe has an optional additive slot, with a given size (light, medium or Heavy). The slots will take any size additive equal to or smaller than the slot size (light - light, medium - light or medium, heavy - light or medium or heavy). After the ingredients are entered (along with the additive) you move on to experimentation.
Experimentation with an additive is identical to experimentation without an additive. The bars are the same length, and increase the same amount. The only difference are the values of the buffs. The values corresponding to the additive will be increased (or decreased for filling) by an amount based on the additive. A 100 Quantity additive will increase the quantity 100%. A 33 Filling additive will decrease filling 33%.
Once you're done experimenting, you are left with an uber enhanced schematic or prototype, enjoy.

that actually makes me feel better to see the that the resouces costs on them are fairly ungodly. Sadly this means that they will go largely ignored by the chef community ![]()
I was looking all over for the resouce costs of these addatives, thanks for tracking them down Ezran, you rock! ![]()

The only issue then for mass production to be inclusive of additives is the crate production of the light/medium/heavyenhancers and add water to create the additives in crate quantities. It is only then that you can take finished Additive Crates and use them for finished Chef Schematics.
Other than that, you are only able to make individual stacks using those enhancers/additives, correct?

I assume that the prototype you create requires identical additives that were used in the experimentation right? In other words - if you use the additive in the prototype, you have to use exactly the same additive in all the factory-produced items... right?

BE additives have only 1 experimentation bar for BEs. Aya'ti was also nice enough to give me the experimented values she obtained for each sample. From those, I can guess the range of each additives (that I remembered to note)
Light:
Filling ?? (14 @ 24%)
Flavor 0-100
Nutrition 50-85
Quantity 100-200
Medium:
Filling 30-50
Flavor ?? (30 @ 0%, 34 @ something else)
Nutrition 80-120
Quantity 200-300
You do need identical additives in order to do a factory run with additives. At least I'm pretty sure. This is supposed to be hard.

You provide information that BE's may find beneficial. You go back to page 1.

Any food item that is not gotten via harvester (or sampling) is creature food. All Meats, eggs, milk, fish, etc.

Almost all, except hide and bone, but still a useful way of thinking about it.
