I never dreamt that crafters actually had to click everytime to create items. I came on here and asked for macros thinking it was legal. I probably pissed off a few people and want to apologize. I always thought that the in game legal macros and factories is what a crafter used to get exp once he had enough money to afford all the expensive equipment. In any case I also want to apologize to developers . I can imagine they don't like the idea of hands free crafting . I assumed factories were for that and I guess I am wrong and made an ass out of myself. I'm just good at kiling thing and tracking down my mark and have no experience at crafting at all . Hell it took me two weeks to figure out how to make a basic camp with my generic crafting tool lol!. Anyways I am going to be a beginner chef and so I don't waste space on message boards let me at least ask one question. How much does it cost if someone were to buy all the goods to get their crafting up to master chef ? Just a r ound about figure . Or do you guys suggest I get some mining equipment or those flora thingies I see . I really don't know muvh terminology . Or better what kind of mining equipement would a cook use to get the ingredients to level up chef? I put up this apology cause I posted here earlier asking for macrosso I could watchTV LOL. I just had no idea that even with macros there was some clicking involved. So how do you masters deal with the carpel tunnel ? Must take alot of patience and determination to reach the level of mastery some of you have achieved . Ohh well lets keep it short and sweet .

And you spelled Darth wrong

If you want to buy the resouces it will cost about 1.5 million
And if you want to mine it you'll need flora and water mines for the grind with 3 times the flora mines over water.

You need to make Mists that give you 175 xp each time. Mists are found on Mix 2 I think. Mists require corn, wheat and water, (I'm doing this from memory so I might be wrong).

People's greed has killed the player economy for resources. I regularly see 500 units of wheat for 2-3k. That's just stupid. If people with heavy harvesters charged 1-2 cpu then I think the whole market would change for the better. So forget buying resources. Get 2 heavy floral harvesters, one heavy water extractor and one heavy mineral (for radioactives to power the others).

If your lots are tied up, get a friend to help with lots or join a PA and get them to help. If you're still going to rely on buying resources after reading my post you have a long hard (and expensive) road in front of you.

I actually bought up the entire group of wheat and berries off the bazaar today that were selling for 1.5-2 cpu. I was amazed that someone would be so cool, it happens so rarely.

Yup. The prices are ludicrous. In the past, I would sometimes buy a couple thousand inwater or wheat if I'd forgotten to bring resources along for grinding at shuttleports. No more.

But, just to disagree with one thing -- people must be paying, or sellers would be forced to drop their prices ... yes? That sounds like the player economy breathing, not dead. If people won't pay, the prices will be forced down. Otoh, like you say, maybe cheap resources is a good business to be in.You'd needheavies, definitely. But, if you had them...mine away, then radicallyundercut prices on the bazaar. It wouldn't take many people doing this to bring the whole market down.

hm.

I think what's happened is that most, if not all Chefs, collect their own resources. I only ever look at the bazaar if I'm desperate.

Floral resources aren't that common on bazaars, which are dominated by minerals so I think the player economy is dodgy with the flora stuff.

I think a lot of flora resources on the bazaar are a one off, where someone harvests a wack of something and then tries to sell it. I think the fact that I have yet to come across a store selling flora resources is a telling point.

Of course I could be wrong so if there is a store on Valcyn that is willing to sell flora resources at a max of 2cpu, please give Trigona an email.

People get just plain ludicrous with the market. A couple of winners from my quick browse through the Moenia bazaar ...

2 eggs ... 3000 credits (someone must have told him chefs need this)

166 Berries ... 3000 credits (nice quality, but I can't sell a pie for 2000 credits to cover the costs)

78 insect meat ... 2500 credits (some of my drinks are made from radioactives and my stews are made from bug parts. I'm the worst chef in the world.)

A player-run economy breaks down when maybe 70% of the players still receive an allowance.

I used to be a MBH and thought that the LLC was a faster, less damaging, DOT free flamethrower. I was sadly mistaken. I just recently picked up commando and realizes how big of a delay there is after specials. I am shocked. I am sorry for all the commandos I calle whiners when they called themselves one shot wonders, and I am sorry that the LLC is so much better of a high DPS weapon. Now I see why so many commandos fall back on the launcher pistol. Nof if only commandos could replace the acid rifle tree with the LLC tree.

That would be great but I doubt your BH friends will go for that.

This is exactly why I never take most NERF calls seriously...as soon as someone tries our profession they quickly see we aren't as powerful as they think we are...Our Power comes with Over-Powered penalties and restrictions combined with a lack of defences and "borked" weapons...

The sad thing is, and something that REALLY bugs me, that Bounty Hunters and Commandos should be the top balanced professions...they take the most skill points, and in my mind, most effort to achieve (when you look at the total number of XP you need)...Yet other professions get love before use...

It's my opinion the Devs should have started with Bounty Hunters in their revamp/fix timeline and moved down based on skill point use...But that is my personal opinion...I have never been a BH, but I feel their pain...This is why I always stress that Commandos should SUPPORT Bounty Hunters and hopefully Vice Versa...
