Chef Archive

I just really want to say what an honour and a pleasure its been representing and helping our chosen profession. I'm sad there maybe no more "Chef" profession, and as a result there maybe no more forums or Correspondant. If that's the case i'd like to thank all of you, every Chef to of ever visited here, you've made my job easier than i could of possibly thought, and i wouldn't of rather spent my time helping any other profession other than this one.

I'd also like to say a big thank you to some people in particular. Sciguy for setting such a good example for me on how to conduct myself in what has turned out to be a big challenge, but ultimately a fun one. An even bigger thanks to the regulars, Eerif, Woosh, Lark, Aelea, Little Horn, Bliznit (Pietoss tbh), Malia, Mecinia and anyone whose been crazy enough to stick around and help make this one of the friendliest, helpful and down right nicest places to be on the forums.

I couldn't of done any of the few things i've done, and wouldn't of wanted to, without you guys.

Everyone of you are the best, and i hope to see you on the other side.

FIrst off thank you Higginsis for being such a great correspondant you are right when you say that this chef forum is the nicest!!!

I've posted on this thread for help and even you yourself told me the answer to my problem.

I've been a chef for 2 years and here in the final days I can look back and say " I WAS SUCCESSFULL" and I don't just mean about making credits in the game. I mean that for two years I provided my friends with the foods they needed in game most times for free and I also provided the general population of Corbantis with some of the best foods made.

But I couldn't have done it without this forum and my great friend raesaalwho is by far one of the smartest and most well experienced players on my server. Hats off to you my friend I will never forget anything we have done together EVER

The name ULTIMATE FOODS will always hold a major spot in my heart for me. I never would have thought in a million years that a GAME would capture me so much and get me sooo invovled with striving for perfection and thats not even touching on the great friendships that I have made in game GOD I will miss them so much as most of them have decided to move on to something different.

As far as this new change to the game well maybe there alot of things wrong with the game and maybe the combat upgrade failed sure but to destroy specific professions that many people enjoy so much is a wrong thing to do.

Honestly I DO NOT want to stop playing SWG but without the chef profession I don't think I can truly enjoy the game. Sure being jedi is cool and playing my BH toon is fun but playing my chef toon is where I spent 80% of my time. Gods honest truth. I'll be giving this new system a try I'm gonna play it on TC and I'm gonna try it when it goes live but it better just knock my socks off or I think I will move on myself to something other than SWG.

I truly hope the people that make deicisions at SOE read threads I think its important for them to know what we feel

Yes, I really am gonna miss it, even though i have onyl been chef for like 2 months i have really started enjoying it, i just had a lot trade of 40 factories and i had all my houses set up for a big huge opening, i get half way thruogh making most of my foods and this comes out, i really hope it stays afterwards so i can keep all my stuff, not just chef, all crafters, all their resources and sutff they were gonna sell could go to waste, i hope it doesn't, i hope SOE know what they are doing, or should i delete my chef and make a new character?

As far as I know you still can craft food and drinks and sell em and they will be useful.
The crafting process and resources won't change.
That's what I understood. I don't claim it is the truth.
The profession will get a different name and merged with artisan etc.
I also would like to thank everyone who contributed to this forum.
I havnt been here long but learned a lot

Not been a chef for too long on my alt....but the faq's and posts on this forum have helped me alot to understand the profession. Hopefully them new trader skills wont be too bad and il still get to make tasty foods!

I hope I still get to post with you Higgs.

Although I'll be honest the burning fire which used to be Woosh is a flickering flame at the moment. I do not like any of these changes at all.

Thanks a ton for always being there to answer questions for us and join in with our random "this food don't work" threads. Good luck with the NGE if you plan on sticking around, I'm still not sure yet

Higgins you've been fantastic I do hope that they keep seperate correspondats even after the merger simply because of the specialization you guys have in those fields.

I'm nervouse about theses changes not just for myself but my customer base as well. Already I'm being asked if I will still be there after the change in hopeful tones.

My answer of course I will be here, I may not be happy but I will try to improvise, adapt and overcome as I did post CU. Crafting is the one passion I have in this game (heck I have three crafters lol)
