Note to you, caps doesn't get you noticed, it makes you seem stupid.

And can i ask why its making it unplayable?

Capital letters are considered yelling and are used to show anger or frusteration... Perfectly appropriate in this situation.

When Im running 4 factories and 3 are broken to the point I can't use them any more... I'd say that's pretty effin bad...

I can't re-deed them since they're static from another player.

BTW if we want to play spelling grammar and ettiquette police, it's don't not doesn't...

I think I may have misspelled ettiquette, so your turn.

I wasn't getting into the spelling thing, just when people use caps it lessens the point, a basic rant like that undermines the problem so i see no need for doing it, no matter how frustrating the problem is.

And doesn't or don't work fine, as they both mean the same thing, but i suppose thats a US vs UK style of english.

Possibly, in the US it's wrong to use doesnt after a plural..

Either way no point in dragging this on any more.

I can understand his frustration though. His post will get deleted if he says anything truly nasty, so his only option is to shout. Factories have been broken since launch. So far it's gone something like this:
a. They fixed the email we receive when factories are bugged instead of fixing the actual bug that would have rendered that email pointless anyway. If the devs had been doing their jobs, that email wouldn't even be seen by players unless they managed to actually get their output hopper to 100%.
b. They made it even bloody worse because they no longer take servers down, so factories no longer reset, which makes them unusable after a day or two.
c. They have completely failed to even acknowledge the problem. If you call a CSR about it you get told to redeed your factories and make sure they have power.

I'm sorry, but imho shouting is more than appropirate in this issue. Explaining this to the devs at gunpoint is beginning to seem reasonable.

That's how I felt as well, you typically see ppl using caps excessively and at the wrong times, but in this situation it's the only way I can express my intense frusteration with this problem, trying to describe it in a long rant will only get it deleted as I'll get far to uhh.. Descriptive at how this should have been fixed long ago, or at least not worsened to the point that it paralises us.

*hugs* This bug is one of the major reasons I will be taking a break from my normal high lvl of activity. I am sick to death of being ignored or treated as an idiot by csrs who have no clue about the game. There's been nothing but indifference and incompetence regarding this bug because everyone is busy with an expansion pack that the game wasn't even ready for.

I'll end up bumping this post every day until this bug gets fixed... or until they delete it.

The thing that I just don't understand is how they keep ignoring their customers. There is some fairly fierce competition coming out atm, they should be doing everything they can to keep people here, because no matter what, at the end of the day, it's the players that keep the game alive by paying for it.

/AMEN!

Let's keep this puppy up top in case of the (very, very) off chance that they glance at it. Although, it's not as if they don't have any idea that the problem exists. I submit a report about it every single day. I'll keep flooding them with bug reports every day until the problem is rectified. It was unreasonable to nerf the factories to make them perform slower, but it's UNFATHOMABLE that they can't go back in and fix a very obvious mistake when their paying players are screaming for a fix. Not even a change, just a fix for something that's inexcusably broken.

I'd understand the devs continually keeping their thumbs up their bums and doing nothing if they were the only ones playing the game and didn't care, but keeping their thumbs firmly wedged while cusomers continually request/beg/plead/scream/threaten for a fix is just bad business practice. I've watched half of my friends list quit and move to WoW with another 3 that will be leaving in the next week or so. Scylla is all but dead, and I see the same 10 people running around all day, with the exception of the few newbies that mistakenly picked up this game thinking it was going to be worth their money. Are they trying to push everybody to EQ2 because it's $89.99? Lord knows I won't be picking up another Sony game after my experiences with this one.

Hadn't thought of the EQ2 thing, although it did strike me as funny that they get people to buy an expansion (or join the game because of said expansion) before slapping the combat nerf on them.

I've heard a lot of bad things about Blizzard, but they have one thing going for them: they admit they are in beta. I've heard that their devs don't always have the best attitude when responding to posts about bugs. Well, at least they respond and acknowledge. This particular bug has been here a year. If I woke up in the morning and had no "manufacturing error" emails (sod that - programming error, guys), I would go check to see if I'd even started them. If they were all running, I would probably faint.

I did contemplate renaming all my factories to "A broken factory". "Another broken factory". "Oh look, a broken factory". Etc etc etc. Just to see if anyone would follow suit.

ROFL. If the factories were on my lots as opposed to the lots of an AFK dancer in my guild, I would absolutely follow suit!

Well...

I have no clue what you guys doing to get your factories bugged all the time.
I'm using factories now for quite some time, and I only managed to get them really bugged (to the point of not being able to use them for a day) only once.

We all know about this bug. We all know it happens if theres something in the output hopper already.
I empty my output hoppers before even putting the next schematic in, and puting the ingredients in the input hopper (unless i'm shifting them from output to input for the next run, then its at the same time )

It takes a few more minutes to transport the results from the factory to my storage vendor, but that way I never got my factories bugged.

Yes I know it doesn't make it right that the bug is still here, just because there's a workaround. But since there is, and it seems to work at least for me, I can live with it to some point.
